Desmond Meade is a civil rights activist and voting rights advocate. He is the founder of the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition and has been instrumental in the passage of the Florida Rights Restoration Act, which restored voting rights to over 1.4 million people with felony convictions. He has also been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for his work.
