Danny Gatton was a middle-aged rockabilly picker from Washington DC, known for his fifties quiff and beat-up Fender Telecaster. He was praised for his fusion of styles and explosive sound, and gained a cult following for his showmanship and genre-blending performances. Gatton was tragically featured in Guitar Player magazine in 1989, and his legacy lives on as an influence on future guitarists.
