Public prosecutor for England and Wales
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is the public prosecutor for England and Wales. It is responsible for prosecuting crimes and bringing cases to court. The CPS is headed by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and has a network of Crown Prosecutors and Crown Advocates. The CPS works closely with the police and other agencies to investigate and prosecute crimes.
