Cindy Kiro
Governor-General of New Zealand
Cindy Kiro is the Governor-General of New Zealand, serving since 2021. She is the first Māori woman to hold the role. Kiro was born in 1964 in Rotorua, New Zealand, and has a background in social work and teaching. She was the Minister of Social Development from 2017 to 2019 and has been involved in various charitable and community organizations. She was elected as Governor-General in 2021.
