Captain Bill 'Hawk' Albracht is a retired United States Army Captain who served in the Vietnam War. He was stationed at Firebase Kate, where he was part of the unit that fought to hold off an enemy attack. After his experience at Firebase Kate, Albracht wrote about it in several articles and has spoken publicly about the challenges faced by soldiers during combat operations.
