Bishop Tissa Williamson is a Catholic bishop and theologian. He is the Bishop of the Society of St. Pius X in the United Kingdom. Williamson was born in 1945 in Sri Lanka. He studied at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome and was ordained as a priest in 1974. He became a bishop in 1996. Williamson is known for his writings on Catholic theology and his defense of traditional Catholic teachings.
