Ashraf Abdel Ghafour
Ashraf Abdel Ghafour was an Egyptian writer and translator. He was known for his work in promoting Egyptian literature and culture. He received the International Prize for Arabic Literature in 1996. Ghafour was also the president of the Union of Egyptian Writers. He was born in 1942 and died at the age of 81.
