Ahmed Abdi Godane

Ahmed Abdi Godane was a Somali militant and the leader of al-Shabaab, a terrorist organization that operates in Somalia and neighboring countries. He was born in 1977 and rose to prominence in the early 2000s. Godane was known for his charismatic leadership and his role in planning several high-profile attacks. He was killed in a US drone strike in 2014. Godane was based in Somalia.
