Abu Iyas

Hadith collector and scholar

Abu Iyas was a hadith collector and scholar who lived during the Islamic Golden Age. He was born in Medina, Saudi Arabia, and studied Islamic sciences at the University of Medina. He was known for his extensive collection of hadiths, which were later compiled into the Sahih Muslim. He was also a skilled Arabic linguist and had translated several Islamic texts into Persian.
