Youth Homelessness in UK Surges

March 2025, of 6% or nearly 7,000 from the previous years, 116,947. This comes from fresh research by the Youth Homelessness Charity Center Point. Pulled from freedom of information requests to local authorities in England. They tracked this in their annual Youth Homelessness Databank to spotlight the growing crisis nationwide. The impact hits young folks hardest, derailing their shot at university or early jobs, while they're out here navigating Traumasolo on night buses, or crashing on strangers' couches. Experts at Center Point call it record levels, stressing how vital prevention is over just planning. Regionally, England's numbers led with 107,585 main applicants, up 6%.

The Northwest took the biggest hit, surging 35% to 19,587 more than double London's increase.
