经过了4个月的延误，美国国务卿布林肯终于在6月18及19日访华，并与中国国家主席习近平进行了会见。

习近平在会见中表示双方在一些具体问题上取得了进展，达成了共识。布林肯在访问结束的记者会上形容，双方进行了坦率、实质和建设性的会谈。中美双方也都同意稳定中美关系的必要。
