Hello and welcome to the Smackdown preview. I'm Adam Wilburn from What Cools. You join my little darling boy, my little apple. What cool chair. Here to look ahead to tonight's episode of Friday Night Smackdown. But before we get into it, if you're a fan of this sort of thing, make sure you subscribe to What Cooldressing on Apple Podcast, Spotify, Amazon Music, and YouTube. We do daily wrestling, podcast, not only review Smackdown, but it doesn't mean that. This year, for me, known as NHD 2.0. Hey, do we done a mic? Pay-per-views, premium live events. We have interviews, round table discussions, and a round-up of the week complete. What's up? I'm Adam Wilburn. It's your quiz, of course. On WrestleCulture, as I said, though, join my Michael Hamlet's look ahead to tonight's episode of Friday Night Smackdown. I'm double salute and all the way to WrestleMania. I don't care who knows it. Five weeks.

It's amazing. It's the reason for the season Smackdown this week, because like they did the thing last week, they ended the- We certainly skewed more positive than most on that, but that's fine. It's all subjective. Yeah. The Drew McInsperiment has come to an end. Bye-bye. Though, not without sort of pretty much a show in Drew McIntyre, I'll get a big single as much at WrestleMania itself. Road Dog has departed, so the one thing that we could argue wasn't necessarily working about the Blue Brand is now out of the way, you. I just think it's a nice time to be a fadhead. The best time of the year to be a fadhead. The elimination chamber to WrestleMania run is like, I can understand why people would argue the Royal Rumble. Yes. Tradition it should be, yeah. Compete's with it. Me personally, just every Monday and now. But yeah, this is like, this is that lovely feeling

where now I don't want to speak for everybody, but where I'm sticking on the good wrestling vibes soundtrack. So great playlist that. Thank you. Where every truly great WrestleMania soundtrack getting dropped in the DMs, like forces a full playthrough and goose bumps in the aftermath. Like, this is the dance. Yes. And this is the season of the dance. So I said, we've noticed you blasting that out of your headphones earlier and roll the size somewhat. It's just like, I want that. I want to be on the hype train from as early as possible. Absolutely. And it's like, it's at this point, like, I've got quite a lot of very emotionally charged judgment day law that I'm going to say for the raw preview. When we talk about Dominic's turn on Finn and the aftermath of that, but like I've been just revisiting this week as, you know, things have become judgment day charged again to the extent where we can talk about this now because it's not on this card, but I feel like I'm previewing a Smackdown to come. I have been

obsessed with my own fantasy book and I sent you this match. Oh, yes. Before WrestleMania on the assumption that Damien Priest and R-Truth get in the WrestleMania tag title match against the MFTs. One of them later, et cetera. They need to do Damien Priest, R-Truth. And Finn Bal. Oh my God. Versus dirty DOM in the MFTs and a six man. It's an incredible match. And a bit like that bizarre DX reunion in 2000 where like the game Triple H was suddenly hanging out with like Mr. AS and China and one other or something. They just all follow them came in and their new gimmicks just came out of the DX music. I was like, we'll bring the other side back for one night for the baby. Yes, it's like just their judgment day, just like you remember it and often tearfully miss it. Like just that like. Well speaking of things to look forward to, when you settle down tomorrow morning, as I hopefully will as well, for Fed and Breakfast watching tonight's Smackdown, that means it will be only until

Mac is in smack as ladies and gentlemen. Yeah, everybody knows about this probably if they're watching this. I'll listen to this podcast, but we'll do a plug anyway because increasingly this might end up being for a good cows. Draft conversation about my greed. A spiral in the way I'm most delighted about. I'm going to 100 nuggets. You're going to try. I'm going to try. Yeah, actually, that's very much the key to the promotion actually. I'm going to try to 800 nuggets on the internet in person live live on the internet while Sige special guests on this podcast are on the review podcast should I say March 23rd to review Smackdown. And I'm going to try and see if I can get my task done before you get yours done. Sige here to Smackdown. So he could be a little brief on some of the segments that we might typically he prays on. That disadvantage is me, but it potentially advantages the viewers because they get to watch where you try to rush through nuggets burping it through with this my secret weapon. Or you know, the pops are available and I might choose something different on the day.

March 23rd and Randall, one of our listeners come viewers has very kindly offered to donate five dollars a nugge. I think Larry Rob is showing a bit of interest and someone else replied that they took a dollar or something. So I think you give a smart thing I might do is I'll set up a just giving form, which is what you typically set up when you're doing like, you know, something that is genuinely impressive, like an athletic feat or something that is like a personal physical challenge. I suppose the 100 nuggets is that and you can attach your charity. Like if you are keen to do it, there is no pressure on any donations, but I probably will set one to Downside from North East, which is a charity of the Great North Run for. This falls two days after world Downside from the day. So it almost looks like I like did it by design and I didn't. And I certainly will be telling them where the money came from. No, don't mention that. I will tell them all the day after. Falls a day after the Newcastle Sunderland leg of the way tying Derby, which we're tied. Well, time we're just a Derby man, the Derby.

According to what I said, it's a movie from Adam, as you know. Yeah, not a lot of people call it a day. We had Derby. It certainly is this time around. So people also call it a day now. It's stressful for me this game. I don't love it. So I can either come for some feelings after a defeat, have a celebratory gorge trough of a hundred nuggets, or oh, it was a draw. This is kind of everything I needed. The players are on the beach and so am I. I can find a narrative around these hundred nuggets which have a way the result goes. And in other McDonald's news, this feels relevant while we are. It sent me this yesterday, Nicholas. You might not be aware of this yet, Nicholas. You might not have seen the breaking Mac news. I imagine not. It's big. It is big. One of the news though. One of the highlights of every visit I ever make to the other country. God dang, you know, it's a beautiful America.

And God bless the United Church. That button. God up there. I love talking about it. And is going to McDonald's to get the Mac griddle. It's even the name. The breakfast muffin where the bread has been replaced by like a pancake bread compass. I don't think I've ever actually had one, you know. With a branded muck on the pancake itself, sausage and the cheese, all the bacon and the chicken, you know, whatever. And it is arriving in the UK next week. Oh, that is temptation city over here. I got the message. You'll double of it. It was it was Nick. My cousin who sent me this. Miss you Nick. I see you pal. Eat the ground on matters of such importance. State level importance. Yeah, drops on Tuesday, I think in UK McDonald's. Is he staying for a long time? I didn't tell me he's going to wrap up before I liked him. No, you know, they're big into their special menu stuff these days. I think it's a special menu thing. So get on it. I can't.

Oh, yeah, you can't. Can you? Well, you'll have to get the real thing in America. Well, I mean, if it stays for, I mean, how long have I got left? I think it flies past like lent and stuff. You'd be all right. Um, you get like your specials, same parties, day dispensation. You can make your own rules here. You can make your own rules here. I mean, you literally can make your own rules. Yeah, you're allowed. One, two, three weeks, basically, I've got. But I, because I only learned this new yesterday, I wonder if this is relatively breaking news. And it's a nice thing for the Smackdown listeners, come viewers to enjoy is that we're giving them UK-based ones. Anyway, American ones get to live the stream every day of the goddamn lives. But like, for the UK listeners and viewers, it's nice. It's like, go and get a Maki's breakfast, start from like next Tuesday and get them a griddle. They're bad ass. They're really, really good. And it's come around at a nice time. Because I don't know if you know what this is. Well, but next Monday. So not, Matt has for Smack as on the 23rd. Is that right? The 23rd, yeah.

But the 16th is also a very important day. Is that what we've won? Yes, since Newcastle, you know, won the league cup. I've got helpless. And it's 316 day. And it's 316 day. So just a great day. Celebratory day. Yep. Celebratory day. You'll be there, won't you? Celebrating? Well, look, put it like this. It would serve some of my colleagues to remember that it was just a year since they won a cup. It would certainly would. Microphone. Yeah, it's going to save you. It was non-stop in early-house days. Start, Jordy fan. Microphone. And speaking of treats, stick around because later on, whether you're a video or an audio listener, I'll be teaching you a magic trick. Ah, I've made it wrestling related, don't worry. I've gone on record on this podcast before, saying I kind of hate magicians. And sometimes magic. Because there's a, especially like close-up ones, there's like a,

I don't know if it's like a consent issue, like I didn't really opt into this magician's situation, and yet you thrust the magic upon me. Massive stage production magic impresses me, you know, like pyro and music. Do we do that? I was in Vegas one year, it was amazing. That would blow my ears off, but like, which they would probably do as one of the tricks, in a magic bullet. We blow, we blow, we blow in this bad English man's ass hole off. But look again, it's right there. But I'm intrigued by this. You've worn me with like about 15 minutes notice that this is coming. It's just just the right amount of time. I'm like, I'm sort of locked in. If you've said it yesterday out of, and I'm over this now, you don't need to go to work today. Maybe, but like, yeah, I want, I'm curious as to this. I like, but I'm eco curious about SmackDown, panicked. Listen, it's gonna be a thing we're not gonna get to the wrestling. Yeah, well, I tell you what else is magic, the way this WrestleMania card's coming together in my eyes. I love this now. Cody may have gone a bit too far when he said that interview recently. This could be the best wrestler,

the main card of all time. Or something on his line. Says a bunch of stuff today. Yeah, exactly. Well, then, but you just said stuff. Like, before we talk about this contract signing, let's talk about the latest rumours coming out. Obviously, as you mentioned, you've got our Truth and Priest winning the gauntlet last week. I'll be honest, I'm not that fussed. If that's just the tag match, I mean, you definitely deserve to get in the main your card ahead of other things. Women's tag titles, obviously. Um, so there's that. Charlotte and Alexa won the effectively the number one contender's much last week to face the Irresistible forces. With the rumours now talking about maybe an EO and Asuka match singles match. Oh, I don't know that I like. It's not really for me that one, but I can see why they would book it. The talk of stepping up some matches, which means I mean, a ladder match is a stipulation. So I don't know if Charlotte and Alexa, they're doing a lot of tight matches in the interim period between now and mainly so you could run that shenanigans. And then you add Bayley and Lyra,

Bella Twins, whoever else you want to chuck in there. And then there's obviously the talk this week about, I mean, who could have called this Tiffany Stratton for facing Julia for the US title? You were on that one early and I like it. And there could be a double turn with Keanu James, couldn't they? Right there. I am going to get my client the gold that I have promised. She's kind of like failed to come get. I've already got it. She kind of failed a couple of times. Nope, I'm going to see it through. My client will leave WrestleMania with gold. My client, my client, my client, bang, double turn ski, Tiffany Stratton and Keanu James off to the races. I used to go in a bag for a brick, right? Obviously traditional weapon of Keanu James back down in the next tea, real ones now. Yeah, pulls out. Where the hell's that? It's a giant clock. Where's she, the boogeyman? No, it's just as tiffy time. She clonks Julia with it. I wonder where you were going, but the tiff time payoff made it worth it. I was, I got lost in like a Mary Poppins magic handbag headspace for a while, where there was a grandfather clock. She managed to wear a giant clock called Rapper Flavor Flavor. There you go. One of them. Do you remember those war clocks

that were just ginormous watches? They were bad ASS. You know, like I seem like a sort of four foot Casio watch, but you're hung on your wall and the watch centerpiece was the actual clock. I was wanted to one of them. I wanted to one of them and I wanted a Mr. Frosty and I never got either. When the girls see me, they melt, call me Salvador Darling. Is that anything? I mean, you've been trying to make it something for a month, so it'd best be something by now. Between it, yeah. I can't remember. There's levels to this game. You know, you've got to pass a certain test to get on the old Wilbur and Tweet skis. You've got to really think careful about the kind of stuff you're going to tweet out of it. It could be a nightmare if you get it wrong. I was going to try a bit of analysis for a Friday there. Go on, it's falling out of the head. Look, remember it. Remember it. Is there an element to this, a cigarette satire who'd be calling me a generous, fed lion mark, but go with me on this one. You know, the various title matches

that have been built for TV purposes, the AJ Bailey thing, the R-Wrecking, the like, charlotte sir. It was just before as much as going to be TV. That's not a last-in-five week. Sounds like priests and truth might be for TV, but Damian Priest was talking about like wanting to use it as anywhere to get a WrestleMania. Maybe that in his mind is winning the belts and that's how they got to be. Friday, this might now be for many, maybe, yeah. Like, has the addition of these, like TV title defenses, there was the E.O. Sky title win on Raw on the run to WrestleMania last year. Remember, Rhea, like the shock to feet? Has this been one of WWE's ways to try and combat the problem they created for themselves last year, with like, almost too much TV. Yeah, yeah. Like, not too much TV. That sounded like I'm making an excuse from them. I'm not. They failed to fail the time effectively. So, rather than just more of a handle on it this year, yeah. Yeah, they've dropped some big matches. So you've got some big matches to focus upon for your likes of your punk in your room and in now your Cody and like, several others drew and Jacob feel like well on the way. But with the secondary titles

or with the stuff of lesser importance by having them say a headline in your TV shows, or at least be sent to pieces of your roles and your Smackdowns, then it almost makes stuff feel fresher when it's getting announced a couple of weeks out. Like, we're still thinking AJ Lee and Becky Lynch will be added to WrestleMania. But now this barely matches kind of presenting itself as a fork in the road. You can delay the inevitable and you can make something like you can add some suspense, you know. That feels like part of the strategy here. Tighter matches on TV. It's wrestling. They still have a sense of importance around them. They still create and even if you're manufacturing it, they kind of create stakes for a week, you know. Like, a Smackdown headlined by Nijax and Lash Legend against Charlotte Fair and Alexa. It's totally credible. It's totally fine. Like, the tag titles on the line whoever wins this match are definitely going to wrestle me. You don't know who they're going to be. They're going against the belts going to you, the spot on the card. Like, it becomes the price, doesn't it?

Let's talk about Drew McIntyre before we get to this contract signing because obviously he was heavily involved in last week's conclusion and divisive result, let's say.

I've written what's what now for Drew McIntyre I mean, there's a very obvious answer isn't there? Yeah, it's Jacob Fattu and all of this is better now. Yeah. We used to say about the Cody Rhodes story line because it was such a constant. In both of his like longer title reigns actually, they played a lot with that idea of heavy as the head that wears the crown as microphone himself knows. And in Drew's case, it was all too real. And now, like even just talking about and fantasy booking Drew McIntyre was done without the burden of the situation he was in as WWE champion, isn't it? Like, I'm sitting in now quite happy and content with Drew McIntyre having like a mid card banger with Jacob Fattu and using all the credit in the bank and all the equity that he's got with WWE fans to do the JLB for Jacob Fattu and give Jacob a like a statement when at WrestleMania. Kind of a second in a row.

He won the United States title last year. Yeah. And like, I made this point. Yeah, I made this point on another podcast we did. It's not the match. It's not the kind of scene of a Teester, Jacob and Bronn rolls together and now they're in the main event. So it hasn't been as accelerated as perhaps it should have been. But in a situation where you could be looking at Jacob facing and defeating Drew and Bronn facing and defeating Seth. Yeah, absolutely. Drew and Seth are the card carrying badge wearing when they don't even want to wear the badge like mid event gatekeepers. Absolutely. They are the guys that are not the guy. Them too. More than anybody else in this company. That would be no better. That's been proven over and over and over again. It is them too. Like, to be beaten by the respective ones that we saw that were on the parallel rise. Like, a little bit by luck as much by judgment. WWE have kind of arrived at the destination you would have.

By then, they fight for the titles next year, for example. They can go. You've done it. Yeah, you can see that you won 42-43. One's a rumble winner, one's a chamber winner. They've both become undeniable, whatever. Bronn's probably going to get there quicker. Yeah. Jacob might. But like, certainly, you could make the sound argument that everything is right where we wanted it to be. And if they both win, it is. Yeah, you know, it's not that out of the question. Those are matches that mirror one another. Do you think tonight is the night, maybe, because you're going to have like, maybe a despondent Drew McIntyre or a conspiratorial Drew McIntyre going after the SmackDown GM Cromwell as name is, but is tonight the night you drop the, who attacked Jacob Reveal? You could, couldn't you? Because it certainly would like taking that picture so they're not just like gate crashing this contract, only for example, not saying that no one should get crashed his contract, so I mean. Do you know, I've just thought it'd be pretty funny. Like, if Drew was to admit that it was, like, he's lost it.

He's lost everything. And he's kind of got nothing left to lose at this point. And he says, like, you're not going to take anything more from me. You know, he's certainly not going to take WrestleMania from me. I'll fight you a WrestleMania and I'll win. And I'll take more time off your career, just like I did last summer. And that's the kind of payoff. And then there's a little overlap with it. And while we're on, if you don't think I've still got that sauce in me, just ask Jay how it felt when I left him for dead as well. And then all of a sudden, you've created a narrative link between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk. He's like, yeah, he sells a kind of ourselves lately. I'm like, you're all right, I see you. But like, claiming it, being able to say, I did that and don't think I haven't still got it in me. Because you were the one in the ambulance with Jay, weren't you? How was he doing when you took that ambulance ride? Did it remind you of your own ambulance ride? Because I'll give you another one in Las Vegas. And ambulance match. Yes, maybe. Did we just stumble across something?

Maybe. I mean, it's got to be better than Nellie and I drive him one. Like, I don't know. Funny that's the only job he got as well. You can drive the ambulance at WrestleMania. We've got a match for Brock, don't worry. You know the old one out thing? Well, good news. We need an ambulance driver. Um, he is a bit right now for me. I haven't got a match for him in my head. What could you, what stipulation could you do around teeth? Because he's a nail match. It's not got a great history. I'll be perfectly honest. Definitely not that one. Because he knocks his teeth out. Yeah. Oh my god, he's got it. Drew McIntyre says, just like what happened to you in the back, I got a claim all coming your way for what you did to me. And I'm going to knock your teeth out and he turns around. Yeah. Yes. Well, last one, let's talk Dan has. Okay. Will the Miz-Mento him? Because I'm very certain you and I went, well, I assume they're doing that next week, because there was a match set up between well, either Kit Wilson or the Miz, depending on who you are. Sounded Miz, didn't it?

Miz versus Dragonov. The curse isn't set. It was the threat of a curse, right? Well, I don't know. It's all the world that's talking about it. If you don't mentor me, you are cursed. The huge, I went and did some detective work on this. And the official WWW YouTube account, there's uploaded a video that says Dan Housen curses the Miz. Okay, right? So hang on, I just, I did an American diesel there. Dan Housen. Dan Housen. Dan Housen. Dan Housen. Zun. Zun. Dan Housen. It's when they go diesel. You all right, man. Now, I was just thinking of the soft zip. The soft zip. He's talking to the, he's talking to the soft zip. The soft and the hard. S got me there. Dan Housen. Yeah. He said, Dan Housen curses the Miz. Because I'm not going to go on the miss. Am I right? It's a, there's a pronunciation for a reason. I reckon that the Miz has been cursed.

And like, he loses all time anyway. But the idea is his, his indignation. You do not curse a lockering leader. Like, you're joking. Like, nobody could curse the undertaker. This isn't fair. Like, I've lost Ely Dragon off. But it's obviously the curse. You don't have to do something about this. And the Miz, Housen's subplot is that they're just trying to get into like, undo the curse. Yeah. And trying to get him to curse anyone who he subsequently faces. Because he feels like, that's kind of a, I can become world champion that way. So as a lockering leader, he's the one guy that has become subservient to Dan Housen. Yeah. Everybody else is just irritated by him. And he's like, come on, man. Like, please lift the curse. He, uh, he shouldn't last long against Dragon. They've had that match recently. Yeah. So I like the idea that maybe he's like, right, lockering leader, you don't have to beat some sense until you're Dragon off. They need to take the opportunity to teach him the three master inspires. Oh, no, no. That's right. Yeah. The big three. Well, it's the year of the most 2026. And it's about, it's about, about start. And Dan Housen appears to be like, oh, don't forget your teeth or something.

It's a very teeth heavy show. This is a book in. And he just turned around into like, an H-bomb or whatever. Or what's the top we do? What's the top we do, Moscow? Is this, do they, um, like, let's get Wilson to all this as well, by the way? Well, that might be that I was, I was about to say there is this where they're kind of like, say like, what are we doing here? I've been a fighting. And they just booked the match for us. I'm mainly between Dragon off and Melo. But I was trying to think of on the fly, like a one or two week destruction to delay the announcement in this kit Wilson. That maybe like Dragon off destroys me. And he's got one, like Melo's like, we've got the match if you want. And then all of a sudden you hear this, no, like all of this posturing, this book in your own Suffolk WrestleMania, it's toxic and Kit Wilson wants in. And if he can beat Dragon off, he gets the United States tight. He doesn't beat Dragon off. Like, but that's the, that's the last thing that Dragon off decides to do before actually putting the closing of the open challenge loop

unless he, wait a second, what is happening? I don't know, man. He challenges Melo tonight. I've claimed that open challenge because I want to rid the US title of your toxic influence, toxic, toxic. Melo beats him, obviously, handily. Yeah. And then if only, you know, that's kind of his one route to WrestleMania block, certainly on the blue brand. So, I mean, it's a fact, though, that I mean, you have to show up on the red brand, right? On what would that be? The 16th of March. You're right, yeah. Just a thought. So, we can finally get to the thing that everybody's been talking about. If you live in the SmackDown preview and really universe. Yes. Which is Kit Wilson versus Stonkosli Voslin, Texas Ratsonic at WrestleMania. Do you want me to do this magic trick now? Yeah. Yeah. If you're going to do that, you shook your hands there. If you do that, something. No, no, no. It's not a visual thing. You can all do this at home. And it's going to sound like the set of something that we've all done as a kid, right?

You can do this with your eyes closed if this works as well. You don't have to talk whatsoever. Okay, what I need you to do, yeah, Michael Handfleck is very simply, put your hand in front of your face. I'm not going to smash it into your face or anything like that. Do I need the microphone here to put it in it like that? It doesn't really matter. Yeah, so you can do it like that. So, what I want you to do right now is think. Don't say anything. Just think about WWE and WrestleMania. Just keep that running through your mind. Fed, WrestleMania, this sort of time of year. And I want you to, on your hand, breathe as though you're checking your breath. So nice. Yeah? Okay, done that? Yeah. What, what, what'd you feel on your hand when you did that? Like, in temperature wise, medium to hot, medium to hot. Yeah, just like WWE and WrestleMania right now. Yeah, hot, hot stuff. Okay, now what you think about the Texas Rattlesnake. Steve Austin, think about what, he quintessentially. What is he? What is Steve Austin?

Hold on your hand still there. I want you to purse your lips and blow on your hand. Temperatures that. Right, you can see him. Stone cold. It's not the same temperature. Eddie, you've ruined the trick. That's cold, right? That's the same. The trick has worked. You do it for your necklace? I wasn't doing it. It's not the same temperature. He was wrong with you. The world's best magicians always say. It's not the same you Eddie, you've ruined the trick. He's cold. You blew your hand. I guess it's a slight difference. There's the difference I may not give you. Yeah, I've won a very much focused enough. Yeah. And maybe I was blown with too much with. There you go. Stone cold. You are indeed David Copperfield himself. And I took away his contract signing. Cody Rhodes and. Clearly, bitterly disappointed. Yeah, I was going to say it's probably the best you

didn't give that long run up after all. That is. Let me know if it works for you at home. You know what? I don't want to put you on the spot here, but I think it's reasonable when you initiate poetry corner and then show it down with your first attempts, right? I'm giving you a week. A week in a pack of cards this time. Not a magic trick. I want one next Friday that honestly mixes all together. I've got one, okay? Great. Bring it along to next Friday. Because I've seen those ones that I see based on just saw this on Instagram. Realize that's pretty impressive, apparently not. But I've seen one and I'm just like, well, that's a little bollocks, but enough people in the comments were like, this is incredible. We've got a table here. It'll encourage people to watch as well as listen along. I just want to be a pack of cards. All right. It'll be more playing with your mind like I just did there. I mean, I was trying to give you a chance to get out of this, but okay, all right. It works instead of bad assistant. You've had a bad Nicholas. Yeah, Nicholas. Yeah, still still would be bad. Rest of my time, I had to contract signing. Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, very excited for this.

It's the thing with this is it could go so many different ways and I like almost all of this, right? There is definitely a version of this that disappoints where like there's a few terse words, a level of tension that ultimately doesn't boil over. Everything gets signed. The SmackDown GM says great. I see it WrestleMania. It's not even the main event segment. And what they've done is delay a certain inevitable, which is Cody Rhodes. Four more weeks after this year. There is this time to tell more stories, but the inevitable, as referring to there, was the split crowd at WrestleMania, the fact that Randy Orton will get a strong baby face response. The leads right now. And Cody might get booed again. I don't know how many people will be back in the Legion that were there last year, but half the crowd didn't like him last year. And Orton's got that same, like sort of, I think, I think the same fan base as the people that love John Cena at Cody's expense last year. So they are staring at that. So if it's just that,

I think you can read them to call it a disappointment. But let's talk about the things that could be fun about this, right? They just get into their law in the biggest way. In the biggest way yet, they get into their law. Cody's like, yeah, I'm not going to bore people with the same stories. Everybody knows who you are to me and what we've been to each other and so on and so on. And I was like, well, I'm going to just stop you there because, like, let's not brush that off. Like, where were you before me? What were you going to achieve without me? And so on and so on. Like, don't understate this by inadvertently trying to like say, well, on beyond that, you know, Cody. And I'm trying to show legacy. Oh my God, that was the name of this is terrible. And then you can see Orton's almost a little bit gotten to that Cody's reached the stage in his life where he can start, like, reducing and minimizing the importance of it. And Orton's like, look, and, and well, right, actually funny. I'll time to thought circle or it's a loop over and I can learn from you because that's what happened at elimination chamber, wasn't it? Like, you let your guard down just like I did. So we're kind of warm on there. Who's going to let the guard down at WrestleMania? Or in fact, he's going to let the guard down on the roads of WrestleMania.

See you later. And then it's just, oh, right. What's he going to do with work? You know, like the Viper could strike. Cody's left to think about it with a rice smile at that. That's my Viper. Like the, so there's that and then you leave it and that and that's that. There's a nuclear option. Which other I was like, hey, guys, I'm back in Dobie Dobie. I love Dobie Dobie and I love my good friend Randy Orton. Why do you kick me in the head, Randy? What did I do? Like, like, everything's gone insane and Randy Orton's brought the punt back because Elishtra Black's got in his mind as we saw evidence of last week. That's Randy. And Jelly Roll is the one that's made to suffer by having his bonds clean. I kicked clean off his shoulders by his former friend, Randy Orton. While Cody Rose, oh, Christ, he's done this to Jelly Roll. What are you going to do with me? It really could, like, go off in all of these directions, couldn't it? Yeah, I think, I think, yeah. Randy has to acknowledge the fact of a pretty much preferable match for me,

fighting my friends supposedly. But also, he never really gave me a title shot when he was champion. I like, you know, he saw an opportunity and took it and I didn't. That's very enough. That's the game we've been in. It could have been in this career long enough to realize that all's fair and love and war. But this is probably my last shot. Certainly, my last shot, main event in WrestleMania. Maybe my last shot of becoming a world champion again. Yeah. I want to hesitate, Cody. I'm not going to screw it up. Is he the latest as well to get on the corporate Cody train? Like, I had to win the elimination chamber. Like, I had to X, Y and Z. I came back in 2023 and even on that night, they weren't talking about me, Cody. They were talking about your friend, CM Punk. It's been nearly three years and I'm Randy friggin' oughtin' and it's taken this to get me back in the title picture. You got your shot just because the LGM changes the mind, didn't you? Like, there are a few people who have been on that one and there's loads of storyline justification for that.

But Sami's said it, Owen said it when he turned. It's been a theme, hasn't it? Like, Cody Rhodes is brilliant at being like, are we on this one, are we? Like, do I not do enough to earn the spot I've got and justify the place? I've got the QB1 is real. Like, I will dive for all of this and then people are just like, I'm from the QCody once again. Like, Orton can have a little pop with that one as well. Like, if he wants to, if he wants to. There's a version of events where Cody's the one who leaves WrestleMania as a heel. Well, I keep going back and forth on this right. I don't think they'll do it. But I said this to you on one of the previews recently. They are more obsessed with the shock capital M moment now than they were in the years where like Vince McMahon supposedly made it a truth. You know what I was like, it was going back a decade plus that people were saying, it's just the moment's company. Their moment's success now, you know. And the idea that you were supposed to leave every major show with your jaw on the floor.

But in reality, there were nowhere near as many as people remember that actually, like left you shocked in a satisfying way. Yes, Seth Rollins, I would say, a high school century undertake a streak getting broken, a two that spring to mind. And there were others, but like, yeah, we're not talking probably in a concentrated amount as many as like this WDB have aimed. Sometimes for worse, as well as for better, to try and deliver over this. Like if you go about this triple H, Regene, like Roman Beaton Cody was certainly one. Cena, turn and heel, CM Punk, returning. Then you've got like just really fun storyline ones, like the Damien Priest, Caching. The sheer scale and absurdity of the main event of WrestleMania 49.2 with the Avengers, finishing all that kind of stuff, the return. Again, I'm saying better and worse here. There's a whole spectrum. Brock Lesnar's return last year at Summerslam. They've got a proper hard on slash, wide on for delivering these, like it's all you can talk and think about conclusions.

So I would say they're more set up. It was because I used the example of like, yeah, it's probably going to be seen of a teaser and Brock in the new new world order, actually. And there's nothing even like that. I think this is a more twist, and centric WWE that could lead to something like a Cody Rhodes heel turn way more now than it would have been like five, 10 years ago. I'm not convinced it's going to happen, but I think you're more set up for it. Look at last year's WrestleMania, like the vision ultimately has died and has failed and has not worked. But they kind of donated a main event to Youth Paul Hameon's best mate. And it turns out it's the one guy you didn't think it would be. Like they were that intent on delivering that shock and that, well, now you kind of have to see what happens on Raw with these two. Yeah, you like, that's the world stopping, right? And Cody is all, that's all, and it's night one. This is the night one main event. We assume crazed. It's got to be, isn't it? Yes. Cody is already, I think, I'm just going to stick with this take now.

Quite shrewdly attempted to keep himself as the tippy top guy because he can see the other two tippy top guys feuding with each other on ramp. Yes, it would be a hell of a shift stealing the conversation back on night two. If on night one Cody Rose turns, he wouldn't it? If he low blows Randy to retain, which by the way is a perfect night one conclusion, could still have night two to do the big happy ending of WrestleMania. He's got to be thinking, well, follow that. You know, like what have you got Cody Roman to like to supplant me as QB1? Almost almost factors in last year's match with John Cena as well. Yeah, almost not justifies, but you know what I mean? No, like Cody has learned from that across the course of this of the second title run and winning the belt back and no longer falling for the obvious stuff and getting ballsy move, wouldn't it? Yeah. And sometimes these ones don't pay off these ballsy moves. Like the good see, like I'm as easy here would. A longstanding belief of mine.

And if we flesh this out in the Revolution preview podcast, where I'll get you podcasts, is that like, I'm on page should lose this week and for the same reason. I've made the good to the stipulation. I've made the good to even more if you follow through. Cody, really stupidly AW three months old. He'd never been hotter as a baby face, but he gets on him to push that stipulation and see it through at the time. Like it's the right guy with a company much closer to being the right company at possibly the perfect time. I think you've got to leave an element of doubt in there like that they might just do this. Not every sale happens at the register. Before AT&T Business Wireless, checking out customers on our mobile POS systems took too long. Basically a staring contest where everyone loses. It's crazy what people say during an awkward silence. Now transactions are done before the silence takes hold. That means I can focus on the task at hand and make an extra sale or two. Sometimes I do miss the bonding time. Sometimes AT&T Business Wireless,

connecting changes everything. The hustle doesn't have to hurt. Availability and coverage vary by state and insurance plan. Also would be interesting when you factor in the other faces around all this. Not that they're going to be involved in the title much anymore. There's not going to be this five, six-pack challenge that people are talking about. But Sami Zayn is right there. The sort of low-key main character of SmackDown. Sami Zayn always liked him. Water bottles run in fear. When Sami Zayn stops the growth process by him now, I've gone from after the Royal Rumble. He's dead to me. Suck him. Yeah. To, well done, sir. You have my attention. It is like, his segment's on SmackDown. Like, as we've talked about, I have like my fed and breakfast. Like, you find your ways in which to enjoy SmackDown till it's fullest over the weekend. But it's proper like, shh shh shh shh shh. Everybody shut up. Everybody calm down and get hyped. Sami Zayn's on screen. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, it's proper stop at your heart.

Like, you want to try and like look at the micro expressions. You watch the segment twice. Like, the word ends already out there and that. And you kind of, you get the gist where the segments are going fairly early. Because you know, Sami is going to be like, sorry, you know, I shouldn't have said that, sorry. But it's everything else that you kind of analyse and around it. Then you've spotted the water bottles in the back. You interact with both Randy and Cody last week. Said you're a bit snake, aren't you? You'll say to Cody, like, getting another chance to tell, aren't you? Like, he's just, he's like, he's... Well, they're mate. Whenever he's on screen with Rick Williams. He's like, would you send me this size? And they're like, well, he crashed. This could be fun as well. Because then you could have a fun, I don't know, trick. Cody and Randy, I know, don't completely bury this in music. Because I know how many times they've done a, can they go exist story heading to Ultrasynvania? But at least there's a legitimacy there. It's not just like, I don't know, Sasha Banks and Rhea Ripley or whatever. Like, Cody and Randy have worked together before. If they, for whatever reason, have to face trick Williams and another heel, who wouldn't want to be associated

with trick Williams right now. Great spot. In just in terms of like, because Tricks going to want to gaze, you know, receipt for Randy Arcao in him last week. I think that's a... And I hope this is just what the plan was as well. Like, I think at whatever point they realized that it was time to double down on what they had with trick Williams and feature him amongst the WrestleMania winners. Without necessarily putting him in a WrestleMania event, he's in there all, but in WrestleMania season. Really, really smart. Because it doesn't have to, you know, it doesn't have to lead to Randy Orton match right now. It could be after WrestleMania. But in Samy Day in a Randy Orton, trick Williams has been sent out there to go for the big names, the big stars. And he's maximized his minutes, he's done all the things that you would historically want. A guy that wants that spot to try and do and to take the spot for himself. And I love that he's even in the conversation. We're not doing it in that like wacky fantasy booking win, where we've like held onto an idea or something. It's like, no, no, he was RKOed by him last week.

Finn now is going to make it a triple threat between Punk and Rowan and WrestleMania. Exactly, yeah. That RKO isn't going to go unpunished. No. The Samy's in stuff. They're not at the match yet. But every single week now, he's like, he's scruffy little toddler. Like, you stink. Like, he gets one back on him all the time. It's just, it's a nice situation for Trick Williams to be in, where compared to so many wrestlers, the pressure is off, getting the big match. It's about his presence, isn't it? Like, I think Trick will get a singles match. I don't know who, and I don't know if it is just Samy's in. And that's how you put these two disparate main event hangar rounder is together. But I do think I feel quite confident that he will be on the WrestleMania card. And I think he'll win at WrestleMania, whatever he's doing. And I just, I don't do a women's tag title. I don't match to a US title. I don't match. There you go. Yeah, I don't know. I've really sold myself on Mellow and Dragon off.

But yeah, I could see, I suppose. Dragon off. Ill you, would you like to involve ladders in you match? Oh, God, yes, please. It's Trick Winning. Stand on the ladder, hold on the belt. Very WWE. This is the visual we want. And it doesn't matter if the match would be good, but almost the match quality is irrelevant. The rest of the other bodies and how they bump. My mind's going wild now since I read this story this morning about the stipulation, load of matches being given a stipulation for WrestleMania. Lemon Pepper Steppers on a pole. I mean, that's a lot of words, isn't it? Uh, shoe match. By the way, by the way, we didn't ever come back to this in the office. I'd like 10 out of 10 reference from you with the KKSU, shoe KKSU, uh, Reeves and Mortimer, master chef. But I can't remember what I was there. It was undone, I think. It was NXT. Shoes, I mean, that was KKB, isn't it?

It was very KKB. Yeah, but I feel like we just dropped it in the shoe KKSU. Yeah, we dropped it where we're not allowed. In the no fun zone, where you don't amount. John Moxley says, shut the f**k up and wrestle. A home to diminished crowds. Boom, let's go, Ignite. We, uh, we also alluded to jelly rolls appearance tonight. And now the rumors already could be heading to WrestleMania. Oh, all right. Do you know what, right? I don't know. Diddly squat about the work of jelly roll outside of WWE. Well, I haven't hated the work within it. Yeah, like, I don't know his general vibe. I don't like, I kind of admired his weight loss journey. Yeah, he recommended on Unreal and he came across like a decent fella. So I don't really, especially at this time of year, I don't like hold any animosity towards jelly roll getting a spot, you know,

like the celebrity bad bunny. Well, the thing is, like a lot of things, the conversation on celebrity matches has changed over the years dramatically. There was a time in my push the cruisers, internet forum pump, where I would have been fuming with anybody getting a spot. There was like this long list of their embarrassing, the business, Laurence Taylor's the exception way would like, you could count on one hand, the good celebrity matches or whatever. It flipped so dramatically that I don't even think we took full stock of it, like the nature of the, the, what was the moment? I don't want to say it was bad bunny taking a Canadian destroyer at WrestleMania 37, but something sticks out to me about that one. Logan post bad bunny. Yes, yeah, David at 30. It probably wasn't that. Do you know what it probably was actually? And I know that this is different in a way that will make sense when I say it. It was probably Ronda Rouse's WrestleMania debut because she'd come from MMA, so theoretically was like wrestling adjacent, but she was such a massive star.

Yeah, but it wasn't really just Ronda Rousey, the ex-USC champion. It was Ronda Rousey coming in and fitting in and stealing a WrestleMania on a debut and doing it alongside Kurt Angle, the last guy that had like a prodigious have come from something like wrestling to do pro wrestling, you know what I mean? That felt like a bit of a watershed moment for this, for people that like, well, what are you doing here? And then they're just absolutely nearly in a way that other wrestlers, like they get reactions that other wrestlers just dream of getting themselves as stars. And then yeah, bad bunny for me taking that Canadian destroyer, and then that you could also go back to like the match was overlong, but in fact the two matches he had were overlong, but Steven and Mel putting good shifts are all in against Christopher Daniels and it's Somerslam alongside Cody against Neville, with Neville against, was it Cody and Wade? Maybe, yeah, start us on Wade Barrett, like he was a really good nick, like it was it was smoking mirrors, I can do like three flippy bits.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, like it just, there was always this default thing, it better be a minute and the wrestler, the Intercontinental Champion, best get over off the back of this and then sure enough it'd go five minutes and the celebrity would win, you're like, it's changed now, it's totally changed. Jelly Roll, like got a really good nick. He wanted to get under like 300 pounds, I think when he was 350 and he did it, like he got an ounce of like 298 coming out for Somerslam, the Somerslam match was a delight, frankly. Got me, really got me done it. He's got law with Randy Orton, it'd be really easy. He's such like a likable bloke on camera, really easy for a heel to just be a dickhead to him, like a man's could offer a curse to me as was the first thought that came in my head. Right, I've lost again, like I'll take you on, like you're not even a part of this lockery, like I had to get changed in corridors and you've been given this VIP treatment, you know, like the, and he's the safest pair of hands on the roster I have the match with. Miz and Logan Paul was on the Logan Paul's early matches, tag team match and then a singles match.

That feels it, doesn't it? Yeah, Miz and Jelly Roll, Jelly Roll and Dan Housen, just teething out at WrestleMania. Yeah, yeah, you all got new tea. Yeah, so yeah, it's now, it's got, all the ones got a Dan Housen, it's night two, so glass smashers Austin comes out, stunts and boasts. Yeah, does the Dan Housen pose? Dan Housen does that to Austin, that's just saying, you're joking me, I'm an actual staff, boom, someone's got one, two, three, right there. Stone Korg is in the middle finger, isn't it? Yeah. Why is that why when it comes to fantasy booking WrestleMania, could you book 20, Stone Korg's leave Austin matches, slash spots? Yes, it's easier than like a roster. Like, it's easier, easiest and most fun guy to book stuff for. Also celebrity adjacent, just because you've mentioned Austin, and he had a little bit with this guy, Pat McAfee as well, NXT probably deserves a bit of a call, Pat McAfee, good shot. Pat, you know what? That was before Bad Bunny, that is a great shout right because that weekend, Pat McAfee debuted against Adam Cole, and then the next night,

like, I know this doesn't sound like celebrity anymore, Dominic Mysterio had that match against Seth Rollins, like an all-time carriage job from Seth Rollins, especially considering they're the Thunderdome, but it was like, the rest is rubbish now. It was a proper week, the narrative was like, we don't need a trained guy, he's actually, people that can do three bits for me. Yeah, the game has completely changed, and I think Jelly Roll will be just as welcome. What if we reveal that Dan Housen has been with WWE for a lot longer than people may realise, just hiding in the shadows, and well, actually, the first person he cursed was Stone Cold Steve Austin, last WrestleMania, which is why he crashed his ATV. I mean, you just edit the footage and show Dan Housen, as he's coming down the ramp. I mean, you'd be referencing one lawsuit with Austin while I potentially started another one with Dan Housen, but yeah, do it. Oh, that's why. Yeah, I got a feeling they ain't going to want to talk about that one on Jelly anytime soon.

We'll all know. Dan Housen pitching that. Got an idea. Get out, Dan Housen. Finally, we should talk about, you know, the match that's actually advertised for Smackdown tonight. A big one. It is Jade Cargill versus Meachin. Obviously, Jade Cargill facing rear-liar at WrestleMania for a title, but we've got our own theories on this. Have we done it again? We know this podcast in particular is one that WWE do not miss. We understand that you're very busy before Raw. It's the longest running weekly episodic from the market leader, but evidently on Smackdown, you find time to skype, and we know that you watched the Watch The Watch culture wrestling podcast because we've had a few hits on this one, aren't we? And I think we're on to another. We called it a little while ago that Jade Cargill has to be the heel, situational or otherwise, in this feud with the rear-liar. The feud that we backed and supported from Rumble Time. Yeah. The Bianca Belair injury was always the if she's fit her, if not rear-liar. Perfect,

probably. Jade Cargill arguably the best ever version of her was unstoppable TBS champion with the bodies, with heels that could be chucked in front of her next opponent that could run interference to obscure the fact that she is good as her aesthetic background and incredible aesthetic looks. The promo last week could have put something in her head that I need something else, don't I? I know these muscles is one thing, but rear is kind of, yeah, rear is kind of said, like, yeah, you're all show no go, like I have, and then we talked about on the news, don't we? Rear Ripley's WrestleMania record speaks for itself, six WrestleMania's, all title matches, and she goes into a seventh, and it's the biggest title she's fought for yet. Incredible. It's own, I know that all wins. But nonetheless, all title matches, it would be the perfect fodder to the point where Jade Cargill spots the opportunity and says, well, you're like in a rear jumper line to plant the seat, it doesn't even have to be a long-term

plan. It's reaching in a beef hub, has spent a week going, well, I should jump again. Yeah, this is not, we didn't even get in the chamber, like, and there you go, there's your reveal. At the very least, yeah, because it might be hard to put across a match subsequently then with it, so at the very least beef hub, beef hub cost Meachin, for example, and she's the line with Jay Cargill, but I like more, yeah, Jay Cargill has a fun, short back and forth match with Meachin, wins, and then she's like, really, you think I'm all show and no go, I'll show you what I can do, is about to, I don't know, grab a chair or do something with a weapon to take out Meachin, rear Ripley will run down, beef hub's there. What music would probably hit in the building in order to, for rear Ripley's? So yeah, yeah, he's like, oh my god, what the hell is Jay Cargill doing? You won the match, leave her alone, she's going to brain Meachin. You can run

right? That's really Ripley. She doesn't stop obviously before she saves Meachin. Of course, yeah, yeah. Meachin has another point for Meachin. You ain't actually going to get there in time, which is quite a long way away, so Jay's going to go. And then yeah, beef hub or Meachin or both, just to their like, yeah, get out of here, Jay, psych, jump, rear Ripley and they're the new baddies, I think it's, I think it's a genius. Who is all by a cell phone? Smacked down because they've made a point of saying, oh, and he always great, but we're going to go our separate ways until after WrestleMania at least. Like that was the point, wasn't it? She's kind of, she's back other than Damien Priest, she's by herself on Smacked Down in this women's division. So I feel like, if it happens, yes, we deserve all the credit, but do we deserve some too, for like, actually giving us the things to think about? Because it's, it feels suspicious that they keep coming back to this because this feels more than you don't, you've barely had Jay'd wrestle anyway. So why suddenly is she like, best get to this Meachin match before WrestleMania. You don't need to win to prove anything. She's got this aura about her anyway, and it sort of feeds

into the story of rear wrestles weak in and weak out, and Jay Cargo's like, I'm doing that. It's just those moments like, it's, we're wrong, more than we're right. But the, it's like, the most, sorry, when he comes to magic tricks. I'm sorry, man. I'm doing the office layer. I'm sorry. They need more props. Good point. That's more of your speed, like an outfit and props. That's what you need. Have we put out that like a black and white magic wand and a full shirt band? Is this like a bombshell corner? You, I think, like, I am, I think the most generous when it comes to popping at your stuff, but it's never, why do you actually make me laugh in ways that probably make you a monster because then it's inflicted upon other people and you're expecting the same reaction. You don't get it. I just dropped a wink to say to no break. Yeah, yeah. He's, he's, he's, he's nicked up from you to do to me. Yeah.

Because when he, when you were already on the ropes, you're, I mean, ladies night yesterday, and then you just went out there getting in there. And I was like, you set yourself there. Yeah. You learn over to me with a wink. Magic is the rule proven exception tonight. It's like there. It's the one thing where it's like, you couldn't even get a laugh at me for that. But you see, even I wanted it for you. So I'm like, come on next week. You can do better. I, but I believe in you. I'm going to try and hope I hope everyone's forgotten by this time next week. Oh, no time to be talking about the semi finals of Gladys. Is it semi finals this week? You just do at the end. You're just like, well, I'm for it. You want magic. I've made another hour disappear. Yeah. It is semi finals of Gladys. What do you mean? Dead quick on of the, um, fastest runner up carrying right through the semi? Because I think that's a little bit generous. I don't mind it. I don't mind it. Certainly some of the people are like, oh, that's a bit harsh. Because any of the competitors they would made it through. I'm fully on this tornado train. I like Guy Mobri getting a little bit aggrieved when the contenders forget

and they've lost and they're kind of waving at the family. And they're like, there's still a fastest runner up this. It's swinging through that piece of paper. I quite enjoy. Mo make it. Mo is the fastest runner. It wasn't. I think so. Yeah. Um, they've got to run that so it'd be potentially sure versus Mo. High quality eliminators. They speak things mostly. They're like the atmosphere's last week. When's the rugby going to be finished? We can get it back on a proper time. I didn't even know it started. Like we watched Gladys out the planner. I see. If we didn't have any like a Saturday evening watch, but it's like seven half seven. That's that's right peak bath time. You can't half watch. You've got to watch the whole thing. Honestly, man, this you call six nations a six viewers. Like why it's always there. It's time of year trying to ruin everybody's fun. It's like it's wrestle mania season. It's like there's multiple like ongoing like cup competitions within football still happening. And you know, in the proper sports rugby, it's no place like at the table with football and wrestling. Yeah, that's right. And yet they try and like,

yeah, like, oh, like Island and France have got a big six nations game. I think like can we not just like, whatever, Twickenham and those are the stadiums. It's just like that just like let them have it and don't televised it. They won't care. They're having their lovely day. I've got some rugby in laws, right? And it's a league. It's differently union. So I don't think I'm going to fend down with sensibilities. Every year that give me this one, right? The Challenge Cup. We're going to often in it. Like, and they'll go to Wembley. And it's like the older ones. This is great thing about that, you know, Challenge Cup. It's not just the Wigan fans that go there. Like it's it's all rugby fans really. It's like it's like the and every sits together and you wouldn't get that in football with you. And I'm thinking no because the two set of supports can fill the thing by themselves in their own sections. Like you need every fan from every club because there's only about 80,000 of you total. Like don't spin this. It's like, I cover wrestling for a living. I know about spinning the tendencies. Right? Let's not pretend it's all about friendship. And like, ah, that's that's the beauty of the sport. No, they're sending begging letters to fans of every club. Hey, your team's never made the final scene. Might as well go

anywhere. And like, you know, you rivalry. You know, none of you give a ****. Well, get yourself down a london for the weekend and break bread over the Challenge Cup. Like, the challenge is not champions. Well, you know, you thought they had a SmackDown sign that got a section low on X. Super Tory game. I was thinking for all three of us sort of, you can fall back on for that. No care that much. Um, so ex at GMO.com or I'm also on Camille rugby fans. I'm out of Nicholas. It's out of Nicholas.
