WWE ELIMINATION CHAMBER 2026 Post-Show Recap and Review

But apologies for the audio recording quality for this, but with some technical difficulties went down getting of this episode that didn't get corrected until afterwards, so this audio is not going to be as great as it normally is, but here is the live post show that I did immediately following the elimination chamber event. Take two. Okay. What is up wrestling fans? Welcome to another pay-per-view point edition of the SMARCA Moment's Mac Talk podcast, the WWE elimination chamber premium live event, 2026, just went down, and if you ignore all the stuff that happened in the past two and a half minutes and me messing up the beginning of this, I'm roast is always turning back and go, thank you for pointing that out in the comments, Sniper and PD. I would have gone this whole podcast and not realized that I didn't have my audio working right. I had a time with my webcam, not connecting and all that, so I guess I blame it on Logitech, blame it on me, I'm not paying attention to.

3:03Says Cybert. Alex Bliss said she wants to be the first two time when her elimination chamber, Bianca Blair already did that. That wouldn't be the biggest mistake of the night, somebody saying something that we're going to get to some of those things. Yada James said this is the first opportunity to compete with the women's title. She was in the Royal Rumble. Yeah, technically speaking. Yeah, she had an opportunity there too. So again, not the worst mistake of anybody saying anything on tonight's episode. But we got some matches to break down. We got some stuff for WrestleMania and we also have a box to explain who was in the box. So start things off and we'll get into the opener. Now of course, there's a two-hour pre-show. The two-hour pre-show was completely pointless. As it always is, I always want to mention that though, just to point out how useless these things are. Actually, even while they're watching the first portion of it, I went and I got cake instead. So over in the fridge, over, well, no, here, from the screen, veneros, fantastic.

4:07We got, you know, the whole two-hour pre-show, I was just like, wait, I don't need to watch it. So it's more important for me to get a slice of coconut cake and chocolate cake and Oreo cheesecake. So hell yeah. The, oh, let me check the other things, the other things in the comments. You could really tell the Bronson Reads injury, really changed how this chamber match went. I don't know. I mean, we're going to come back to that. I don't know if it really changed all that much, to be honest. I think that it might have gone down the exact same way that it did and then just took a little bit of a detour to get to that point, but again, we'll get back to do it. So by the time I came around to the pre-show, I was, you know, Big E's talking about apocalypse now and stuff. Good movie. Maybe a little bit overrated in some ways, but, you know, I always saw it was. So the first match of the night was the women's elimination chamber match and for the sake of it, I'll announce everything that's happening in here, not moved by move, but you know what I mean. So in the pods, we're Alex Bliss, Oscar, Rekord Riga's, and Rhea Ripley.

5:12So starting off, you had Tiffany Stratton and Kiana James, Oscar comes out next, so let's come down after that, Rhea Ripley comes out, third, this is something I thought was kind of interesting. Both matches had the exact same layout of three people come out and then you have at least one elimination and then you have another person come out after that. They had their whole, or actually, no, I, yeah, I actually, I missed out something on the page on the mark of the win. So I'm going to fix that right now. I don't have when Logan Paul entered the match. Logan Paul was after LA night. So never mind, let me undo what I just said, man, a lot of botches on this episode, I'm having, it wasn't three people and then an elimination for the men's. So it was close. It was, you know, everybody comes out and then you eliminate everybody. But three for the women, then you get Alex Bliss was eliminated by Kiana James after

6:15Oscar's bit, the mist in Bliss' face. So it was nice to see that the setup of, you know, at least if you're going to start giving some little boost to some people, you know, not everybody can win a match like this only when a person wins, but there are still, you know, for other eliminations that can go down. So if you want to give a spotlight to somebody, you can do that in multiple different ways. And Kiana James coming out here, starting off first and then getting an elimination, that's another good win for Kiana. She is starting to look way, way more like a, you know, higher priority than Julia is, which is not at all what I would have anticipated from the start of this, but I like Kiana a lot. So I think that the idea that they couldn't push Kiana is something that I'm in sport of. It's just a shame that they don't seem to really care all that much about the Women's United States Championship and to begin with. So I don't know if that's going to come back around or if this is just sort of a couple

7:17lucky spots for Kiana, but I liked her in NXT. I think that she is improving even more and more its time to so on. So I like them giving a little bit of a spotlight to Kiana here. Sniper says, I'm okay with it, she looks better than Julia. I mean, you know, to each their own, I'm not going to disagree with you. But then again, I'm, you know, Julia is very pretty. With rerowning at five, every number has one, both men and women. I don't know if I have specific elimination chamber stats that I'm going to bother to update on the page. I do have to update that after this is over and just, you know, make some tweaks to that statistics page, but the setup of all this, you know, all that statistics crap will get to another time, at least from my end, you know, I don't have that information yet, but any information that you got Peter hit me with it, and I'll update it based off of that as soon as you want to go to that.

8:19So Alexa Biscuits, I eliminated by Kiana James and Raquel makes her entrance. She ends up having a pretty good showing too. She actually stacks up Asuka and Kiana James to pin them both at the same time. Raquel then gets, takes out by Tiffany Stratton. Stratton gets taken out by Rhea Ripley and there you go, Rhea Ripley wins. So when they were down to Stratton and Ripley, I was starting to think, okay, well, at this point, it's probably going to be Rhea, even though when it was still the two of them and Raquel, I was actually thinking Raquel was going to take out Rhea, and then it was going to be Stratton beats Raquel so that the fans cheer the person who beat Ripley because it seemed like Ripley was getting the strongest reaction out of everybody, like typical, you know, Rhea Ripley is more popular and the grand scheme of things than almost everybody on the entire roster. So I think that that goes back to what happened on SmackDown, and we didn't get a chance to talk about this because we did the hot tags prior, but I don't remember for sure if we mentioned this on the hot tags.

9:19If not, then I regret not mentioning it because it was something that came in through my mind about the idea of like if the women's tag titles change hands, then Ripley Ripley then shoots straight to, you know, at least being on par with Stratton as a potential winner. So I'm behold, that's what ended up happening, the Irresistible Forces, Nijax and Lash Legend beat Rhea for the belts, so they're the new women's tag champions, and now that Ripley is freed up for that, she goes on to win the elimination chamber and she's going to have that match with Jade Cargill. There's no indication of what Eoskai is going to do at WrestleMania, and I think that this might be just sort of one of those things where they realized that there wasn't a big enough match for Jade Cargill to do another match with Tiffany Stratton, and then they looked at their options, they figured out, you know, out of all the things that would look the best on the marquee, and not just as far as physical attributes, but yeah, that's

10:21part of it too. Jade Cargill standing side to side with Rhea Ripley to tall, very attractive, very, you know, mommy type characters is a lot of people would say, I think that's creepy as all hell though. Not my thing, having those two against each other is something that's a better marquee for me and I think that as much as it sucks for Eoskai, she's probably just not going to make it to the main new card, although I do think that there's an alternative option here. There were some teases that they were going to do Eoskai versus Julia, and I think that they might come back around to that because as much as it sucks to say this, it seems like it's just kind of a fact. They don't seem to really put Jordan Grace in that spot, and I had been thinking for a little while that Jordan Grace was going to be the one that fights Julia for the United States title at WrestleMania, but now what they just gave her not even a chance at the

11:22elimination chamber, but then a match with Candace Loray, I don't think that they value Jordan Grace in that way. And I think that we're going to look at Julia versus Eo either at WrestleMania or they're going to do that on the Raw or SmackDown prior, and then they're going to try to do the whole thing of like, yeah, technically you didn't get a match at WrestleMania, but we gave you this important thing, whatever. Eo could very well win the Women's United States Championship if she's in that position too, but I think that that's kind of where they're going to go, which then takes one team out of the Women's elimination chamber or the elements tag team title situation, which you kind of needed as well because there was already overpacked. You figure you got irresistible forces, they're the tag champs, they're going in there no matter what. Whether this is a match that's happening on SmackDown or it's happening on Raw or it's happening at WrestleMania, they're the tag champs, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair. That already can be the match, but it's nothing all that special.

12:22You throw in the Bella twins and that again could be the match, triple threat, but you also have Bailey and Lyra Velkiria and you also have the Kabuki Warriors, and then you also technically have, if I'm on top of that, if you're going to count Julia and Kiana James and then you also could throw maybe depending on if she is available, Albafire and Chelsea Green, but I don't know if Chelsea is going to be ready to go by then, so seven teams at the very wobbly least, you could add more teams in there too, you take away teams. I think that they kind of needed to go in this direction, so I think re-ripply winning is the best call, and the overall future of Mania, it's not the match that I would have gone with if you could fantasy book absolutely anything, but I think that they planned on having Bianca Belair anyway as champion or challenger, so they can't do that because

13:23they can't have Bianca Belair in there, re-ripply is the next best option, so I don't think Ria is going to win, but that's okay because not everybody wins, championship's a WrestleMania. The future of the EO thing, the tag titles and all that, I guess it's all going to be a house of cards, it's all going to fall one way or another and we're going to talk about that over the coming weeks, but that's where I can see that going, I think we're getting Ria and Cargill was a pivot and I think that EO and Julia will probably be teamed up at some point, not teamed up against each other, not like teamed up, they're not going to form like a trio with Gianna, AJ Lee then won the Women's Intercontinental Championship from Becky Lynch, and this was a little bit of a shock for me because if you go back to the predictions, I was assuming that there was going to be some kind of shenanigans going on here and there were, but I thought that that was going to be the end of the match, it was going to be Becky rolls up the tights or she has her foot on the ropes or whatever it might be, but something would happen where Becky would retain and then AJ would be

14:26able to challenge her again in the future then it would just be a rematch of media. They instead decided to go in what probably is going to be the better direction, although I reserve some judgment. Becky drops the title after she's tapping and the referee gets taken out and then she's technically going to win the match and then there's back and forth over and over about that, but she ends up tapping out anyway. So at this point, what do you do? If AJ Lee and Becky Lynch are at WrestleMania and they have another match at Mania, then how do you spice it up? What kind of gimmick do you give it? There doesn't seem to be any kind of solid that it has to be this type of thing. It's not like it's like Becky tried to win the match by using what's a weapon that they could use that would be like build a whole thing around. I threw out the joke about the coal miners club the other day, but she could use a ladder.

15:30It wouldn't be this, but she could use a ladder. And then it becomes okay, well, let's have a ladder match at WrestleMania. It could still be just a generic street fight or something, no DQ, if you wouldn't have had the referee back, you know, whatever, it could be a submission match now that you tapped out. Maybe it's like an I quit match, which is kind of a combination of those two depending on where they would want to go, but there's also an option that I don't think many people are really considering, and that's maybe HL and Becky Lynch don't have a match at WrestleMania. Maybe this turns out to just be one of those things that they did ahead of time, and that gets bumped from a media card, and they do something else entirely. I don't know what that would be, there's actually nothing at all that I could think of. The only thing that I can think of that would be an alternative to this is something that is worse than just doing a rematch, which would be Becky teaming with Nadie against

16:31AJ Lee and Maxine Dupree. But if that's the only alternative, it's that or Becky Lynch against AJ Lee and just a standard singles match rematch scenario, I'd rather it just be the standard singles match. But I think that you might be better off if you have some sort of gimmick, you know, at this point, and Peter just brought it up to, at this point, Becky keeps losing to AJ, so I really don't think that there's much ground for her to stand on to be actually the champion. So I'd also be more than okay with Roxanne Perez getting that title shot like I've talked about in the past, but that depends on how she's okay to step back into the ring and all that. That's another tag team too, though. If she ends up being ready to go, do we have Roxanne and Raquel in the tag team division? But nevertheless, Becky Lynch loses the title here, and then since we've got the CM Punk and Finn Balor match going on after that, CM Punk retains the World Heavyweight Championship,

17:37quick note about one thing, love the song serious, always love the intro for any, you know, whether it's like the Chicago Bulls or it's just like a generic hockey game or something, the song is awesome, and that whole intro for CM Punk was very cool. I liked the match, you know, Punk and Balor, you know, makes per sense. The like standout moments of the whole thing are one of those like in and out of my brain types of things. I don't remember specific spots about what Punk and Balor did, but I remember liking what I was seeing. So that should be the end of it, though. Balor shows a little bit of respect to Punk afterward, so we're getting more, you know, towards that baby face turn, Dom and Finn Balor versus each other for the Intercontinental Championship still seems like it's the obvious direction to go, and I still think that that's

18:38the right call. So, Finn Balor writing the title there, probably also something to wage your bets on. And then the meantime, I got CM Punk and Roman Reigns, which I've said before, I'm not the biggest fan of. I think that this is one of those WrestleMania years where they're just piggybacking off of something else and that they're not upgrading it. I think that this is like, you know, it's one thing when you have, say, a savage wins the belt with Hogan and the whole setup there and then you go, have a versus Hogan Hogan and then you go Hulk Hogan is now going to put over the next big guy in the ultimate warrior. And then the year after that, you've got, okay, let's just completely pivot whatever. I think that this is one of those years where it makes it seem like it's, I don't want to say like, WrestleMania 10, because that gets off the wrong impression, because I actually

19:39like WrestleMania 10. But I don't think that they would set up after what Roman and Punk and Rollins did last year, that this would have been like the next logical thing to do is to do Roman and Punk again. I don't think that that was the right way, you know, technically that wasn't going to be their plan anyway, most likely it was probably going to be Roman and Seth, which now that's another talking point we got to talk about Seth Rollins, but we'll get to that in a minute too. Peter tossing out, thinking that Finn is going to cost the match against Penta on Roll, that could very well happen. Penta is fighting for the Intercontinental Championship, so if they want to change the title ahead of time, it wouldn't be a shocker considering the amount of titles that have been changing hands recently. It could be that, and then it could be maybe just Finn Valor versus Dominic Mysterio in a regular match at WrestleMania, or maybe they are on the Raw Prioritimania, or whatever it might be along those lines, but if Penta wins the Intercontinental title, then I am a little curious who's going to be fighting him for it.

20:41I don't think it would be goonter, I don't think it would be overfemi, the people that are like left over yet could be John, but I don't think John and Penta is something that they plan for Mania, and it could be a multi-man thing. Maybe they have the title change hands, and then Valor has issues, and it's Valor and Penta, and Dom, and Dragon Lee, and whoever the hell else you want to throw in there. But then we have a lot of multi-man things going on, although I would say one of the multi-man things that I thought was going to happen doesn't seem like it's going to happen anymore, so let's push aside the CM Punk thing. It's going to be CM Punk versus Roman Reigns, Finn Valor is going to do either a match with Dom for the Intercontinental title or something else, but we're at the weight and see about that. And then the main event happened, and that elimination chamber match was as follows when they order. Going into the pods were Trick Williams, LA Knight, Logan Paul, and Randy Orton, starting off where, of course, by proxy of the who's left, it's Javan Evans and Cody Rhodes, which

21:44I thought they had an interesting enough layout for the beginning of this, but I didn't like the layout of the full match in two ways more than anything. Javan and Cody, you start off, and being two baby faces on that end, it's hard to get behind one of the two, especially because you know that most likely somebody's not going to get eliminated right now. And then they throw out a heel, Trick Williams. I don't think Trick Williams was the right guy to throw out there either. I think that they missed an opportunity to hear of having Logan Paul start the match, and him being the person who can get boot against for the entire thing. If it would have been Logan Paul and Javan Evans, I think, that's probably the way I would have gone. Then you throw in maybe put Cody in there on those number three, and then Trick, and then LA Knight, and then Randy Orton, whatever you want to do. But you know, Cody and Javan starting off in ring, fine.

22:45Booking wise, not my favorite scenario. Here comes out, people start cheering for Trick. People like Trick. So it's also now like kind of three baby faces. LA Knight comes out then after that, if I remember correctly, and then it's, you know, Logan Paul and Randy Orton, the setup of doing something with Javan Evans being like a high flying guy, like he's going to have his moment in here, not really working for me. And earlier in the night, Alexa Bliss did her Twisted Bliss finish her off there. So, you know, she does a splash, and he does a frog splash. It's not the most bombastic thing in the world. I would suck at doing it, I sometimes hurt myself doing nothing. So I mean, I took later on earlier today, I hopped over a puddle for a split second, I was like, oh man, I'm glad I didn't tear my hamstring or something. So it's not coming from an instance of me saying I could do better. But Javan could do better. And I think that they could have brainstormed something else.

23:48So they eliminate him right afterward, which is very much the Kovie Kingston method of like, let's see if he can save himself from the Royal Rumble, but if he doesn't, we've already baked in that that's when he gets eliminated anyway. And Javan, getting taken out by Logan Paul like that, I feel like for him to just have a frog splash and nothing else, it wasn't as good of a performance as I was hoping that it would be for Javan. So I hope they have something planned for him to do at WrestleMania that's actually worthwhile and not that they're just going to throw him in the entry, the giant memorial battle royal on SmackDown, and then be like, call it a day, he'll do nothing there, but whatever. But not everybody can get a huge spot at Mania, so we're running out of some spaces, that's for sure. Even though we only have like five matches announced. But Javan's not going to be the guy that beats Rock Lesnar either, says another thing. Oh, actually, yeah, I'm skipping over the one thing, I'm completely skipping over one of the things that had happened. So we'll pick back up on the Elmination Chamber, but Sniper bring it out, can you explain

24:49to me why, like I'm five white Dan Housen debuts before WrestleMania, what is he going to do in six weeks to get on the card? They unboxed the mystery crate before the main event, and I didn't even have this written down. That's why I'm like, this is, I did not like this. The mystery crate gets broken apart by Nekaldis and Smackdown, Nekaldis and Adam Pearce. And inside's wooden coffin, the coffin is there for a couple of seconds, and they both just kind of go like, okay, well, we'll just leave it alone. And walk away, the coffin opens itself up, a couple of girls come out wearing just like black, you know, pleathery, unitaried type things, and the Dan Housen makeup and red capes. And Dan Housen comes out, and the crowd doesn't react, it's pretty much silence. He goes down to the ring, and they're all dancing, while the girls are dancing, he's like just walking.

25:50He comes out of the ring, and he handed like a glass jar of teeth to Michael Cole. So that's the thing. And then Dan Housen comes out of the ring, and they finish the dance routine and a couple little puffs of smoke, which I'm assuming is supposed to be like part of the joke, is like, you know, it's not full pyro, it didn't work. That's the end of the segment. And the crowd goes from, huh? Who's this? Oh wait, I don't know. Is that a AW guy? Two booze. And that's not a great start for Dan Housen. I've said before, I am not a fan of the Dan Housen character, I don't get it. He's probably a nice dude, I don't want to be sound like I'm making my fuck over his career or anything like that, I probably would be friends with them or something. But I don't like certain things that are like, can't be for the most part, I'm not a

26:50can be type guy. So something like the monsters, I don't like, and if this is like a campier fan of the monsters type thing, this is like, it gives me the kind of humor, for instance, of like a combination of really old stuff that I don't like, like I've probably said a thousand times in this podcast, I don't like things like Betty Boop or anything, you know, catch me watching an old pop-eye episode, I find old humor pretty bad. I don't find the three studios funny at all, it's not my thing. I don't think I've ever once left that anything I've seen of a clip of that. So I mean, I like Adam's family, so it's not that that's a problem, but Adam's family's one. I don't like the Dan Housen thing, and it doesn't strike me as a WWE thing either, it strikes me more as like, it's funnier for like the ND crowd, so I'm not at all surprised

27:56that the WWE audience was just sort of meh about it. I hope it works out for everybody, because you know, why would I be an asshole and think that I want something to fail, especially because I'm going to be watching it, so like I want it to be fun, whatever, but yeah, it's not my thing. And some of the other opinions in here seem like the same kind of thing. I got motion twins, as I feel like Dan Housen is going to run dry and he'll be a triple A exclusive by the summer. I can see that being the case, you know, triple A is like me, I got relegated to like our wage or something like that, it would be like, let's put him on triple A and have him do gimmicky stuff there with Mr. Aguana and Ellie Hode and Dr. Ragnar Junior and all, you know what I'm saying, I said that's because that's one of my favorite ones to say. I don't like saying Ellie Hode, Delve King Go, but I like saying Ellie Hode and Dr. Ragnar Junior. None of a Nick should be arrested for leaving seven people in a crate for two weeks. They seem fine. They're, you know, instead of coming out begging for food and water, they came out dancing,

28:59so it's not going to work there. It's an indie gimmick of best, yeah, it's my room, totally agree. So again, I hope I'm wrong and if you enjoy Dan Housen, I hope you have a lot of fun with it. It's not a gimmick that I am a fan of and it could, it's the total opposite perspective of something like Orange Cassidy, which I find fun, that's all I'll. So anyway, back to the elimination chamber, which might have been taken out by Logan Paul and then LA and I could take it out by Logan Paul and then Trick Williams could take it out by Logan Paul. And this is where we get into the thing earlier mentioning about Bronson Reed. Logan Paul then gets taken out by Cody Rhodes and the way that that happens is a masked man comes out and on SmackDown a masked man came out and got a masked as just some dude. They did the same thing here. And since that guy had been apparently a part of the black and was a black and brave, black and bold, black and, I don't know, black and mild coffee or something like that.

30:00The Seth Rollins training academy wrestling school, I was like, okay, you know, I wouldn't be opposed to it being like a couple weeks of sending out these masked men and they all end up being guys that work with Seth and then eventually one Seth is ready to go. And you know, it could be like, yeah, I sent my students after. But then a second mask, I come down to Seth Rollins. So all right, we're already just at the end of the story there. But Rollins kicks and then stomps Logan Paul who gets pinned by Cody Rhodes. And Drew McIntyre comes out, attacks Cody Rhodes, Cody takes care of him, Randy Orton then hits an RKO and Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton wins the match. Didn't I necessarily see that coming? And I knew there was some gunner of fuckery that was going to happen, but I didn't think it would be Randy Orton wins then. And I like that they did this. I like that afterward and I'm thankful I kept my post show on and it continued to do my little news coverage. But they then had SmackDown general manager and I'll just say that Drew McIntyre continues

31:05to keep getting interference and causing problems with the whole title situation that he's tried to cost Cody Rhodes a shot too many times. He's going to have to fight Cody Rhodes on Friday nights SmackDown and the title is on the line. So I think that what we're looking at here is actually it's going to be Cody Rhodes beating Drew McIntyre on SmackDown and then Cody and Randy are going to have the match at WrestleMania while Jacob Fattu and Drew McIntyre and Sammy Zayn are going to have some completely different triple threat match. Randy Orton also has this thing with Alistair Black going on though. So it actually might turn into a 6 way match or a 6 back challenge or whatever you want to call it. This might actually end up being Cody Rhodes versus Drew McIntyre versus Randy Orton versus Jacob Fattu versus Alistair Black versus Sammy Zayn and that's kind of crazy. It depends on how much they want to split it up.

32:05I'm leaning more towards they'll probably do Cody and Randy and then do McIntyre and Fattu and Zayn in the three way instead and that Alistair Black is probably not going to be involved and he might end up being just a feud for Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes to have over the course of the next few weeks. Like it wouldn't shock me if you get Randy Orton against Alistair Black on SmackDown either this week or next week and then Cody ends up having a match with Alistair Black after he wins the title and they kind of like use him as like the Lynch pin so the two of them don't have to have like a full fuck you. I hate you feud. They can feud by proxy of Alistair Black and Black doesn't get a match with WrestleMania. He gets thrown into the genre of the John Memorial Battle Royal. So that sucks for him but I think that that's kind of their intention.

33:07And he said that Peter would bring it up here with that. He wants number 15. Maybe they want to get him closer to tying that John Cena 17 thing for all we want to know. I don't know but I have said many many times before I want Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes to have a title feud. I would love for it to be at WrestleMania or Summer Slam and for it to be a big deal. So it seems like I might be getting that. Whether that's involving Drew and everybody else involved I don't know but it could be a 4 way 5 way 6 way some way, a whole roster and on there for all I know and I got motion twins says I think they'll do a 4 way Cody Jacob Drew and Orton Alistair reveals that Randy punted Jacob's teeth out. Hmm, I didn't think about it, you know it could be interesting twist. Anyway, Randy Warren wins the elimination chamber so at least for right now it's Randy

34:08Warren versus Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania and that might change on Smackdown with Cody Rhodes but now it's a must see episode at Smackdown so they did a good enough job there. And overall solid enough paper view we'll see if it's like you know a really great success when we see the road to WrestleMania and pans out the B and all but in the meantime thumbs up good enough for me.
