Wranglers Lose Hot Wheels Shootout to Canucks

The Calgary Wranglers hosted the Abuts for Connucks in a fun, hot-wills themed game on Sunday, drawing a crowd of over 8,500 fans. It was the second straight matchup decided by shootout, and unfortunately for the Wranglers, the result was the same as last time, a 3-2 loss. After tying things up late, a few key players sat out with injuries, including Rory Carrens, Lucas Sionna, and Parker Bell, who got hurt in the previous game. Arsiniya Sergeyev started in net for the second game in a row, facing off against Ty Young for the Connucks. The visitors jumped ahead early with a goal on their first shot, then added another in the second period to lead to nothing. The Wranglers showed real fight in the third, out-shooting Abbotsford 19-9. Ida Arsiniyev scored first for Calgary at 1427, with help from Dryden Hunt and Turner-Otonbright.
