00Welcome back to the two guys in Christophe. We have BB Shay and Red Rachel in here. BB Shay, good morning. What's up, Red Rachel? Hey. Interesting because she just said, Christim finished a book by our two guys in Christophe also Dave Landau. Now, we spent a lot of time with him over the past five weeks. Yeah, he just wrote it last year, published it last year, and Brad Garrett, the comic, wrote the forward who says, I hated going on the road with Landau because he was too good as an opening act. He's unbelievably loud. He is so funny. We've had a lot of comedians come through and Landau is one of the all-time best. But as Chris Kelly pointed out, if you listen to his, if you've seen his act or get a chance to interact with him offstage, most of his stories beginning middle or end, he'll say, by the way, I was tripping balls. Right. I was very high at the time. By the end, he talked to us backstage and he would be in the middle of a story and say, now I was high on acid and I said, Dave, you never have to say that. We know you were high on acid, but Rachel just made a comment because Christim read the book. I've read the book and I don't want to give anything away.
00But it's mostly his youth. It's kind of deals with mostly his high school age. It kind of cuts off when he's 20 something. And the amount of alcohol and illegal drugs that he ingested from the time he was 13, 14 to 19 is astonishing. See, so now he's in his 40s. He's clean. Yeah, totally clean has been for years, a few years. Totally clean in his 40s, but BB Shay, when he first met him, thought this guy's high because he's so mellow. Yeah, when I first saw him, I was like, this dude is on something. But then over time, he told me he was sober and I just kind of assumed that when you do so many drugs for so long, you just have to stay at a level. It's kind of hard to fluctuate. Whoa, I don't like being dragged into this. Comment? I have no comment on this. You're the resident stoner. I have no comment on this. I read Rachel was saying that she feels that if you do all those drugs in your youth, let's say he did him from age 15 to 30, you know, a ton.
00There's always going to be that effect. You've got that lingering shadow effect. Well, I've known so many drug addicts. I mean, I've worked with a lot of them and all that and they're usually very open about it. Once they get sober and they always will say, you know, they have to meditate and they have to do a lot of things because when you've spent so much time being high, it's hard to feel normal again. Even when you've been sober for a while, you have to do things, you know, to give yourself adrenaline or to make yourself feel, you know, better that it's not using drugs. Hey, one endorsement for never touching the drugs. That's why I don't do drugs. Good for you. Oh, I took it the other way. I have wasted my life on being high. Yeah, he's fine and he's still got great effects from it, even though he's sober now. Who was it yesterday? Billy Idol said he's California so. Kick heroin. Yeah, bye. Smoking crack. He smoked crack. That's the way to do it. To kick heroin. Yeah, he's in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Yeah. He's there. Undeserved. I don't think he, I thought he said he didn't get nominated.
01I thought that he made. I thought that he made the comment that he was not offended that he didn't get nominated his first year of eligibility. Well, maybe that's because he was finally nominated this year. I think he was. Okay. He's been at a long career. Okay, that's what I thought. He's on the ballot though. He's on the ballot. It's a possibility that he could be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Interesting. That's a good insight. I didn't know you had known so many people who have done drugs so many. Well, she was in the restaurant business. Oh, yeah. They'll sell them to you if you want it. No, I don't know. Okay. I can ask. No, the restaurant business. No. I mean, the restaurant business. You were. Here's a couple. We're barbecued. Also, that was it. Yeah. That's a different, different world. You don't think they were hungry? Oh, I don't know. They never browned back in the car. They never told me. They never told me if they were doing whatever back. I was a teenager. And I was. Well, if anybody went to the bathroom for a little while and they came back and they suddenly had a lot of energy. Yeah. And I eat, you know, at that time. Yeah. Although, you know, Biggie says people in the pizza industry would take an order that was a long way away. And Biggie's like, just go smoke a joint out back.
02You don't have to go all the way out. Yeah. Don't take the 45 minute drive. Yeah. Yeah. Anytime they volunteer for the longest delivery. Yeah. I'll take that one. I'm. I need to get gas. You're supposed to. Sure. You're supposed to drug test the drivers too, but if you did that, you wouldn't have any drivers. Oh, my goodness. Really? Heroin Scott. He could speak to this now. He says that if you do drugs long enough, like the comedian that we know, that even years later, you still have some effect. Two or false, Heroin Scott. Your thoughts? Well, my thoughts are this drugs are for broke people, what vacations are for rich people. Whenever we're going to be able to afford yacht trips in the world, trips to feed you. So to have a good time, the only thing we have left are drugs because they're affordable. I mean, there's cheaper going out in a lot of cases, especially back in the day. It's not the message we really want to praise Brother. Of course, we don't even hire a Disney World going to home. No, no, no. We do it in an accident. We come across. No, no, no, no, no. I'm not an Magic King. Absolutely not. No.
02A Pluto started making a lot of sense. Right. He's one that doesn't talk. Yeah. Exactly. He's the one that does him talk. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Yes. Exactly. He's the one that does him talk. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah.
