Dylan Page β Worlds Strangest Christmas Traditions!π³ | Dylan Page. Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
These are the strangest Christmas traditions around the world. In Austria, men dress up in crampus costumes, their evil version of Santa, roam the streets carrying chains and a basket for abducting especially bad children and hauling them to hell. Recently, one of these actors took his job far too seriously, and it began beating people with a stick causing five teens to sustain injuries. In Japan, it's become customary to have KFC for a Christmas Eve dinner. In Ukraine, they decorate their trees with spider webs. In Norway, they hide their brooms because they believe that Christmas Eve coincides with the arrival of evil spirits in witches. This one is going to be the most random. In Catalonia, they feed a log for two weeks. And then on Christmas Eve, the entire family beats the log with sticks and sings a traditional song that translates to. If you don't crap, well, I'll beat you with a stick. In Greenland, they eat kuvia, which is a small, arctic bird, wrapped in seal skin that is buried for several months before eating on Christmas Day. So the question is, does anyone still do these things?
