About this episode
I had a major disappointment last Monday. Instead of laying around feeling bad for myself, I set out to do a lot of physical WORK around the house. I was using a lesson right out of the history books. I share a specific citation here from "Building Morale" written in 1942 by the legendary physical education professor Jay Bryan Nash on how to "use action to soothe war nerves." I think it's an important lesson--the values of blue-collar work and labor...it's a value and lesson many of our current children no longer have which is contributing to their lack of mental stability today.
