About this episode

BLS and its effects: On the last episode of my summer season, I talk about my experience of going to the oldest public high school in the United States — Boston Latin School and its lasting effect on my life.

Note: There was a recent article that came out from the Boston Globe that has highlighted how people truly feel about Black student enrollment doubling at BLS. I wish I saw it before I recorded this episode so I could give my comments but I will say this. The comments from people who haven't even stepped foot in the school, experienced it for themselves or even been through anything this academically rigorous prior to college is appalling and disgusting. BLS is finally starting to look like what Boston itself does and that does not take away from the quality or rigor of education that occurs within the building. BLS is known as one of the best schools in Boston and will get better with the more Black students it welcomes into its doors."
