On March 30th, a 63-year-old woman from Karshalton, Surrey, ended up fracturing her shoulder after tumbling headfirst into a recycling bin. She was cleaning on her driveway. Jane Green was scrubbing the bottom when the wheels slipped out from under it, sending her crashing in on March 8th. She had soaked the bin earlier that nice day, figuring one last wipe down before calling it done. Reaching deep inside to soak it up, the whole thing tipped sideways, and she fell right through. Her husband heard the yell and rushed over, but a neighbor jumped in first to help pull her out. Paramedics showed up quick, cut her jumper to check the damage, and rushed her straight to Annie. Dr. snapped an X-ray that confirmed the shoulder fracture at the joint, then fitted her with a sling and sent her home to recover. No surgery needed, but the pain stuck around. Jane's steering clear of that wheelie bin from now on, and who could blame her after that wild slip-up.
