From Durham, this is your March 10th update. Wade County deputies have charged a 25-year-old woman from Kingston with multiple counts of forgery and mail fraud tied to stolen checks. Raina Gibson faces two counts each of forging an instrument, uttering a forged instrument and obtaining property by false pretense after incidents. Reported last February, deputies responded to two separate mailbox thefts where victims found their mail checks altered with a different name and higher amounts, both using. The same fake name. Gibson had already faced similar charges from Garner and Clayton Police back in February, according to Warren's. She's currently held at the Durham County Detention Center on unrelated matters, and the Sheriff's Office says the investigation continues. D&N is sponsored by our partner.
