The Wisdom Study was founded in 2016 by Dr. Laura Esserman, a breast cancer surgeon and oncology specialist at the University of San Francisco. It is now launching Wisdom 2.0 in an effort to screen smarter, not screen more.  Many women are at low risk and may not need screening until their 50s.
