Wisconsin Badgers Offer Freshman WR Payne

0:00On March 22nd, the Wisconsin Badgers are doubling down on in-state talent by offering a scholarship to freshman-wide receiver Nicholas Payne Jr. from Racine Case High School. As a class of 2029 prospect, the 5-foot 11170-pound standout just became the first Division I player to, extend him an offer. This came during Payne's unofficial visit to Madison on March 19th. The Badgers have made it clear they want to keep top local recruits close to home, and jumping in early gives him a big edge in his recruitment. Payne was overcome with emotion, telling reporters he cried when he got the news. For a freshman getting a big-ton offer right in his backyard, it's a huge validation of his hard work and dedication. Coming off a strong freshman year, with a thousand, two seventy-four all-purpose yards, Payne has plenty of upside. Other schools were surely take notice now, but Wisconsin lay claim to being first. With years ahead to build on this momentum, expect Payne's recruitment to heat up fast as he keeps grinding toward even bigger things.
