Will USA Make the playoffs?

1:01joining me as mr. stat and mr. understanding of all this stuff go ahead so yeah I've done some research into all of this looked at some baseball articles and I've essentially figured out what all of these situations are for the USA to actually go on to make the playoffs make the second round yeah well this isn't the playoffs this is pool place so okay so I consider playoff starting next yeah that's right so here's the deal it's Italy versus Mexico tonight if Italy wins the game okay Italy wins were in Italy gets the one seed we get the two seed so it's the so if you're just looking at that just 50 50 shot just looking at that just if Italy wins were in okay now if Mexico wins the game okay and Mexico scores five or more runs the USA is in or so if the Mexico Mexico

2:06wins and scores five or more runs yes okay the US is in correct okay with the weird exception if like three or four of those were honored runs by errors then that wouldn't be true but that's probably not going to happen so I'm just not gonna worry about that for this okay however if Mexico wins the game and Mexico scores four or fewer runs then the USA will not make the playoffs and it will be Italy and Mexico from our pool so we either need we need either need Italy to win outright yes Aranola on the mound Phillies fans yes Aranola is on the mound which may or may not be a good thing because Michael Lorenzo was a good thing well it feels like for Noah he could very well go complete lockdown or he could go and let up all those different runs yeah I can see either either side of it just can't have a null outing where he like goes five innings and lets up one or

3:08two runs yeah because the worst is good what everyone needs to understand here's the worst case scenario for this game is a close game yeah because yes there is that chance of Italy winning outright and it's not a problem but the close game then means if Mexico wins say by a run that kicks the US out right and that is a close low scoring yes okay if the final score is 8 to 7 then we're in if Italy scores five runs then by nature we will be in the playoffs so Italy has to just get to five runs and then we should be safe even if they lose even if they lose because then Mexico would have to score more to win and Mexico scoring but wouldn't Mexico need like what if there was the chance like the Brazil game where they score 15 and Italy scores five and they mercy rule if Mexico mercy rules Italy then they still

4:14have scored enough runs that we would be over Italy in the tiebreaker got it okay so if you're a very basic if you're taking anything from this and it's confusing because it definitely is simple terms Italy to win or Italy to score five runs either of those options put us in the put us in the second in the playoffs yes but if Italy I'm trying to make it simple trying to make it simple but it's not because Italy could score three runs and if Mexico still goes over that four run mark and scores five runs we're still in so Mexico going into this game has to figure out a way to win while scoring a maximum of four runs so Mexico can't but Mexico can win hold on so Mexico I didn't notice this hold on so Mexico could win the game score six runs and still not get in if Mexico wins Mexico is in okay

5:24okay because Mexico will be over Italy it just makes a difference of whether the USA gets in now if Italy wins the USA is in so the Mexicans need to win yes if Mexico wins therein no matter how many runs they score yes okay because they would have to score more runs than Italy which would automatically get them in Italy though Italy needs to keep Mexico from scoring runs there no on because if Mexico wins but Mexico scores four runs or less then Italy is also still in this is very confusing it's very simple it's not simple but I'm saying if we keep it simple to the simplest confusing as simple as the way we need it a little win Italy wins Italy wins and it scores five runs but Italy wins and it's done yes Italy wins and it's done Mexico score by any score by any
