Go to the athletic.com backslashdown2dunk and get the athletic for $1.00 on four six months. I am Luke. Join this morning by Andrew. I gotta say I'm just fired up to be here today. Pretty cool. Pretty cool. Wooo! Slime through. And J. The J.L. Guys, the Clippers. God, they need an inzerance. So bad. I wish they had it. They should have called me. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. They wish they had it. They should have called Aaron and J. Reese before all this happened. Because now they might not be under federal investigation.
There's a chance. I don't think they sell that sort of insurance. Don't do crimes. But you know what you get of them. Well, if you do own a home or a car or you have a life. Boat. A boat. Motorcycle. Maybe you should get a life. Get a life. Get some insurances. They can help you with that too. 4057-355-00405-478-7714. Two days. Fourth of the bill is four down two. Clippers, it just keeps getting worse and worse for them. And you wonder, why is this trade not happened? I don't know if this federal investigation has anything to do with it. But this is wild. There's also speculation that Balmer is just so mad that he's like not going to let Kauai sail off into the sunset and go to Toronto. I don't know. It gets more and more miserable in Clipperland every single day.
Yeah. I actually appreciate that side of it. I would say the vibes are going to be tarot over there, however. They're boss legally, and I guess not legally, but cannot come into the building. You cannot go into the building. Four. Right here. This big, expensive building he paid a ton of money for. Yeah. He cannot go inside. Not looking at the GM. Not looking at the head of business operations. That sucks. But what they say. I'm pretty good with the cats away. The mice be playing. The mice are going nuts there. I am pretty sure though that the cats are going nuts. I am sure though that they could figure out a way to circumvent the normal ways to run an organization without having to be in the building. I know. It's called a zoom mating. They're on zoom on the big DAC. And is it just like this is what I don't know is for the Clippers.
Do they have is where they practice and all of that stuff is that within what's that arena called the into a dome? Yeah. That's right. I think that's football. But anyway, is it just in that building or is it like no place that the Clippers have a practice facility? Do they have a they do that he is not permitted in part of anything in being related. Yeah. Period. You can't go to like the board of governments. Can't go away games. Can't go to away. He's suspended. Just one year. No. You know what he needs to do. He's probably earned it a vacation. You know. He you know he could he deserves it. He can afford it. He should go on a vacation. He could do a year on a yacht. They have whatever he wants it to be. He could do the rest of his life. I know. But you know, if you wanted to really let the time fly, he probably could I mean there's all it's literally limitless what he could do in the next year. Sure. He should.
I wonder he should do what he should do. I know I think this would act circumvent the plan. You're seeing the South Park where like Stan has to work with his dad and when he's hired by the blockbuster store and they put his dad on the iPad or he's trying to hang out with his friends, put him on the iPad and he has a little like Segway type thing that's following him around so he can trick a tree with them. Balmer should do that. Okay. Because he's not physically in the building, but he's there and he can talk to everybody. Can you imagine if there were reports of that happening? This is Balmer. We hear that Balmer is present in the facilities. Well, they've via iPad and Segway. I've had Segway. It's like I'm not actually in the building. This is actually a way I can still participate. It's like, it's giving me. I'm on my yacht. It feels pretty good to have their pick swap this year. It does feel good to have their pick swap. It does. Luke, do you want to predict who they're going to pick in the draft?
Let's run a pull me up. Let's do a tankathon spin. Pull me up. Luke, you're going to predict who you think. You're just going to pick a name. Okay. And we're going to remember this name. Okay. So this under got the fifth pick. Okay. With the fifth pick in the 2027 MBA draft, the Thunder Select. Baba Odu-Ton. Okay. That's the exact. That is definitely a name to gravitate toward. It's the I gravitated toward it. It's another. He is 6'10. 6'10 freshman. Which is the size of human that I think would be good to have. That's a great size. 18 years old. It's great. It's a great age to be. But in 2027 he'll be 19 maybe.
Maybe. Hopefully. Only time will tell. Only time will tell. But very excited. Wow. Well there we go. Welcome to the Thunder Baba. Okay. So I wanted to play a little game. I have a new game. I want to play it. And. Lady, did you know we're less than a month away from the season? Yeah, we are. Preseason. Yeah, we are. I think October 6 is the first game of the preseason. We're basically two Mondays away from media day. We're also the 25th anniversary of 9.11. That's true. That's today. Which is crazy. Yeah, I remember being in the halls of Clotnum City, North. I remember being in Miss Bowerman's class. They wheeled in the AV cart. Yes. And in my second hour and my second block. Yeah. And in my second year of 7 normal day, she wouldn't wheel in AV cart. She asked us the block schedule, man. It was awesome. Yeah, shout out. It was awesome. 4.93 minute classes a day.
That was awesome. One of ours was one of my was all sports. So it's like I was done with school at 130 on days. It was great. Sports. You know what? Teaching on the block? Amazing. Yeah, I know a lot of teachers were. I taught. I had one year that I taught block schedule. And then the next year we switched to 7 hours. And it was like, no. Those people who are listening are like, what is that? It's where instead of having like six or seven classes a day, you have four. And you do them longer. And you switch as a semester. Yeah. So it's a full year class would be done in one semester based on time in classroom. Yes. Anyways, yeah, I was running the halls. I just remember do a Crawford just screaming at the top of his lungs running on the hallway. Probably not something good. Probably not something good, man. That's true. What's true? That was 25 years ago. 25 years ago is wild. Yeah, that feels crazy. Wow.
I was a sophomore in college. Wow. Our English teacher was like, why are you here? And we left. Yeah. My English teacher was like, let's have a regular day. It's like this is probably the most important day of our lives. Yeah. I will say I remember it's a regular day. It's a regular day. Guys, listen, you'll never remember this anyways. Let's just have a regular day. Yeah. What? Open your textbooks to this page. Read this story. No. Write this thing. I remember I was working at that time. I remember going to work that night and we were all just like, why are we even here? Yeah. What should we be doing? This is also on Twitter. If anyone has seen it, there's a Twitter account. It's called 25 years ago today. Yeah. And it replaced what has been happening. It's been kind of building up today. Yeah. And today, they said they will be posting tweets every three to five minutes of they have an accurate
exactly what's happened. Wow. So right now, it's like, it's like, oh, this TV show's happening. The today show is, yeah. Yeah. And so it, wild. Wow. Well, it'll be on Twitter all day. Yeah. It's just such a notification. Where were you 25 years after 9-11? I was on Twitter all day. On Twitter all day. Huh? Yeah. Okay. New games. No, that one. New game. I want to play it. It is called Too Hot, Too Cold, Just Right. Okay. Little Goldilocks game. So I'm going to give you a stat of the Thunder last year. Tell me, if it's too hot, too cold or just right. Yes. But too hot means it's going to be there not going to be as good. So if it's in flesh, so if the status too high, too low or exactly. If it's too hot, if it was too, if you don't think they're going to reach it this year. You're not making up new stats.
No, I don't have to play last year. Okay. Based on the team last year. Okay. So we're predicting what they can be this year. So we'll try it with this one. Offensive rating. 117.6. They were seventh in the league in offense. Too cold. So Too Cold means that this year they're going to be better than that. Yes. I agree with Too Cold. I think that we're going to be hotter. So the teams ahead of them last year were Cleveland, Charlotte. Who will take a step back. New York. Who also, I think, will take a step back. Jalen Brunson hosting Silent Live. That is fun. First app. King of New York. A lot of pressure there. Now. New York. He is funny. I'm excited to watch that. Yeah, that would be fun. What is that? A lot of pressure on the staff to get to put Jalen Brunson in very funny situations. It's I think the September 26th. You know, he has, I mean, Josh Hart should come to all of the meetings with him.
Yeah. They're going to have the rest of it. He'll have the rest of it. I'm saying like, yeah, they'll do the opening monologue. But like having the two of them in the writers meetings would be really fun. That would be fun. It would be a blast. It would be a freaking blast. Sam Tony was third in offense. Boston was second in the nuggets for first in offense last year. So I think that they could, they were definitely at least going to jump Charlotte. And I think we can potentially New York falls in. New York falls a little bit. Yeah, but the two coldest just even if they have a higher net rating or higher offensive rating, even if they don't jump positionally, still wins. Okay, defense. They were number one in defense by a mile. 106.5. Second was 108.9. I think hot too cold. I think that is too hot.
I must say just right with the loss of Lugans, Lugansdord, I think that that is too hot. I think we'll take out. We'll do a little bit lower than that. The only reason I would say that is not even lose loss because whoever they replace him with, I'm my, I'm still assuming it's case in, although I mean it could be AJ or Jared McCain. I do think there might be a step back there, but I think where the real loss comes to me is like that second group that runs out. You know, like when you used to have case in or AJ on your second lineup, like what do you lose when it's those guys are in the starting lineup? That's where I think you probably lose it as that kind of bench defensive rating, but I think just right. Still first in the NBA. Right around where they were. Yeah, San Antonio was a 110.4 last year.
I think they'll be the best defense again as well. They could still take, technically everyone could take step back, they could still be the best, right? Yep. Yeah, I'm not saying that I'm not going to be the best. You're also going to get dubbed back. That's a huge deal. Back. He's turned the world right now. Yeah, posting some just real emo posts on Instagram. Oh, he is so emo. He's so emo. Yeah. Yeah, he had that one where he was. In China, in China, in China, traditional Chinese, like clothing and garb. And then Twitter sounds like if you have one bad game, this photo is getting reposted. You cannot have one bad game and be dressed fully like that. He will. He's going to do it.
Okay, so I'm excited. I hope I can't wait. It'll be fun. It'll be more than fun. More than what's more than fun. More than fun. It's more than fun. I think it will be. I don't know. I can't actually find a word. I think it will be life affirming. Oh, having him back. Wow. I didn't have fun, but my life was affirming. My life was affirming. But I'm glad I'm alive. Yeah, I think that's what it's going to be. That's, I didn't realize that was the scale. I'm just different. It's just a different, it's not fun. It's a different thing. Kids, will this be fun or life affirming? It's like, what do you think? It's like, sometimes I'll go to something and then be like, did you find it? I was like, no, but I had a good time. You know, it's different. It's a different thing. I've never said that. I don't think I ever. I've said a lot. I didn't have fun, but I had a good time. I've said it. I think I probably just used fun for like too much of a state.
Like it's, it's lost its specific use in my vocabulary. Yeah, I used to say about like date parties in college. If I like someone I like, but like, did you have fun? Like, no, I did not have fun. I had a good time. So how would you define having fun? Like when's the last time you said fun? I get it now. Like, it's not like, this is a blast. No, it's not that, but it's a pleasant time. It's a good time. The time was good. I was good. I only had a huge date party. No, no, I was, but you're going with someone who's not fun. Yeah. You're not having like, you're leaving as all of your drunk friends are getting there. It's like, oh man, they're having so much fun. They're having a good time. They're actually having fun. Yeah, I'm having fun. Okay, it's just a different, you know? Yeah. I was trying to think of all the emo songs I could think about which one dub would be the most locked in on, but I feel like that's more Yols domain. Because I have a very small emo or something.
I want to know what you were thinking. Yeah. I first went to Fallout Boy, but I'm like, I don't think is that emo? Fallout Boy is not emo. I think that's post-emo. Is that more pop punk? They're in the emo realm. So then after that, I went to Dashboard. Dashboard is going to be the bread and butter. Yeah. Dashboard is music made for being 16. Yeah. I mean, it is, that's what it's funny. It's Chris Kroban now like 60. No, but he is every bit of 50. Yeah. He's still touring, still singing way. It's time. Can you imagine dub just walk out his walk out song now is screaming in Fidelity's 51. He's 51. Yeah, I mean, just, I mean, that would be. Yeah. Wow. It'd be great. I think Dashboard's third wave of emo, third wave emo. Maybe. Who would be first wave?
First wave emo. I feel like Dashboard was the first one I heard about. No. There's three. Gatorb has for sure heard of Dashboard. Like, oh, come on. For sure. Right. I don't know. But the problem is, it's not necessarily like this. The first first wave emo is from like the 80s. Yeah. Nobody. That's not emo. Moss icon. Dag Nasty. Come on, guys. This is coming. I'm just telling you. There's, I know. There's this whole world. I know. I know. I know. Second wave of emo. I think is like the Midwest emo. The Midwest emo. Ooh, a metal computer bow. American football, Sunday, real estate. I'll tell you who I love. Draw a breaker. Are they all predate Dashboard? Yeah. I love Emierra confused me all. Do you really? I, yes. I like that. I love them. They're quite good. Okay. Third wave emo is like, are the bands that we know? Yeah. Okay.
My chemical romance. Yeah. Tickmex Sunday, brand new, follow up boy Dashboard, they used. Yeah. All third wave emo. Third wave emo. Great. Got them like some third wave emo. Love it. There we go, guys. Okay. Let's go. Yeah. Okay. We can move on. So we think the offense is going to be better at the defense might be a little bit worse. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. That's around about way of saying. Right away. Tick is a little bit to get there. Yeah. But, okay. What about three pointers made per game? Hot. You guys want to take too hot? Take a guess as to where they were last year. NBA rank? In the rankings? I'm going to say, 18. Okay. Per game? Yeah, for game. I'm going to say 17.
They were 13. Okay. Top half of the league, technically. Technically I went. Yeah. Technically Luke wins. Congratulations. You win the belt. Good job, Luke. That kind of price is right. I do. They shot 36% from three and took 37 attempts per game. Is 13.8 makes too hot to cold just right. I think it's too hot. Wait. Too hot means that they will make less than they make. Yeah, too cold. Too cold. Yeah, too cold. I think too cold. Yeah. So, if we got W's going to help that a lot. Well, but also no offense, but offense to the fact that I think not having door will also help that. It's offensive. But it's true. He has. So, in made, we'll go to per game. In made three's per game.
Here are the following players last year for the Thunder. Isaiah Joe who's gone. Two and a half made threes a game. Poof gone. Oh no. Second. Lugans dork. 1.93 made per game. Basically, two threes made threes. Was it made or attempted? Made. Poof gone. Oh no. It's like, oh no, it's like it's like the end of Avengers. That's right. Oh no. It's like a game. One point eight made threes per game. Oh, that's here's staying. That's going up. And four games, Peyton Sanford is fourth technically, but Poof gone for him as well. Okay. No, no, no. But replaced with Benny Sturds. Yep. That's fine. Shay is fifth at 1.7. Jay Will is sixth at 1.5. Aaron Wiggins, Poof gone 1.5. Case on Wallace 1.3.
Let me. Case is going up to two. Jay Mac, maybe three. Got to boost those numbers. Yeah. I mean, you kind of need him too. So, I mean, you could make the case that the made threes could go down. Because I mean, as much as we didn't like dork at times shooting the ball. Our sentence could go up of made threes. It could be taking last but making more dork was 37% last year. That actually surprised me. As a Joe is 42%. Case on Wallace. Case on Wallace. What did he shoot from three last year? Not great. Bob 35%. So, let me. Can I give you. Can I give you plough numbers real quick? Quite a bit worse than lay. Lay them on us. All right. To playoffs. This is my fair. Are you ready for that? Did you see it? No, I didn't.
Who is the leading three point shooter per game for the thunder? In the playoffs. In the playoffs. And there's a follow up question. I want to say dork. No. Andrew? No. I think it's, I think it's Case in or Caruso. Alex Caruso at 2.2 per game. What did he shoot? He was like 48%. 44.6%. Case. Case. Case. Case. It was 2 per game. I think Case. It was 48. 48.4%. Yeah. And then he had Jerry McCain at 1.7. At 37%. I don't believe that Caruso will shoot 2.2.3. Planners per game. Nor do I believe he will shoot 44.6%. I do think Case. It too and Jerry McCain at 2.5 would not be crazy. Caruso was 29% in the regular season. Yeah. And he rocked in the playoffs.
So was Case. Case was great in the playoffs. He was. He has to make 3s. Who Case in? Yeah. Oh yeah. He has to be better than he's been really since his rookie year. His rookie year he shot it well. Every other year he's not been great in the regular season. Nobody else shot over 1.5. 3.5. Made over 1.5. 3s per game. Yeah. That to me, I mean like A.J. has got to make more. Chets got to make more. Case and has to make more. J.Will has to make more. Chet made 1.3 a game at 35.7%. Which is just absolutely unacceptable. I mean that's where he was in the regular season. He was a little bit better than that in the regular season. J.Will was 1.2 at 36%. Yeah. That is probably about right. Both of them shot better than Isaiah Joe, AJ Mitchell, Lou, Shay, Wiggs.
Yeah. I think there's a reason why they're shifting more to more offensive players. It's like they just need to have better shooting period. And like losing Isaiah Joe and losing Lou Dort in the regular season is going to hurt. I could just will. So far we have not affirmed that in our game, except for defensively. Yeah. That's true. Yeah. I mean they'll miss Lou's attempts. You know, he took five a game. Somebody can make that up. They'll miss his attempt. J.Will McCain's going to make that up. I mean J.Will help. But he can't make up both Isaiah Joe and Lou Dort who took. I mean McCain took 4.6 himself with Dort and Joe taking 11. Don't you think, Kason? Making take 14. I think Shay. Well, Shay's attempts for again.
In the regular season. Freeze is not going to be that many. Shay was at 4. I just I don't think it would go crazy. But if he is going to actually play off ball like there's some trend conversation happening. If AJ is going to be taking the lead ball handling a little bit more. Yeah. We have talked about Shay being off ball for five seasons. I don't know what's going to happen. I literally sat and talked to him about playing off ball. When Josh Gidey was in his second year. Yes. And it's it has been an ongoing conversation for years and years and years. And maybe it does happen a little bit more. But I think the difference was the fact what is it? Jority Fernandez that had mentioned in the Canadian practices that he was asking for more run off ball.
I mean, that's why it kind of shifted. Shay's done the same. He's just saying that he took some of that and Shay's done the same. He said similar things through the years. It's been to me. It's not any different than it has been. Yeah. I think it's good. I think Shay's could play the exact same way he's always been. And he should. He's been the two time MVP. He should. Yeah. He's won the MVP twice. Well, I do think it would help the team for him to get off ball more. I just will believe it when I see it. Hmm. That's all. Because the team, the team has been outrageously good offensively. I rageously good defensively with Shay playing the way that he does and everybody else fitting in different ways. And like that is good. It's a good recipe. And he has played off ball some. He's had to. I just don't know how much more he will. Being.
I mean, he's he's literally the best guard in the NBA. Yeah. And should be. And he's best when he has a bond of hands. He's not a great catching shoot guy. Till this year. That's what I'm trying to say. This is it. This will. This will be the time. I think that they will make less threes per game. I just don't. I just don't know that they have. I think they might have guys that can be a little bit more accurate. But I just don't like. Case is probably not going to take the five that Dord did. No, I mean, I think you're going to distribute your attempts. I here's I think a big question mark for me, at least, is does Bennett starts actually play? Oh, no. You will spell coffee on myself. I think we're trending. No, you did that like six minutes. Oh, no. It does feel like we are heading to him being a contributor. I think he'll play for sure. He'll play.
I mean, what does he get up three again? I think it is distributed among maybe it's not anybody as high as high volume as Joe or Dort like singularly. But I think if you had Bennett starts more shots in case of Jared McCain, maybe even one more from Shay or Dub, I think you'll get to the same level of attempts if not higher, which I did say too cold. That would be great. That would be great. And a higher efficiency. The way that you started when you said I had a big question mark. That's a great way to ask that not a question. I got a big question mark. Do you think he would be like, what hold on? Do you have like a big punctuation? I said I got a big question mark. Then you pull out a gigantic. Look at this dude. What do you think about that? You would say nice. You would hold it like a torch. A torch? Here's my question mark. It's like a big holding it. It wouldn't be on a piece of paper. I think you would have to get one that's like crafted out of some sort of material.
It's going to be really like 3D printed. Yeah, it's going to be hard because it's two like a dot in the line. Yeah, you would have to have a connector. I'd think hold it on a big piece of paper. So that's third way of email. Or just a piece of paper. Yeah, just a big question mark. I hope it would be cooler if you had like a torch. I got a question mark. See what he does. Angel, will you do that? No, never. Oh my gosh. It's good. It's good. It is a good bit. It would be your last time at the press conference. But it'd be fun until you did it. God, he would be so mad at you. He would just be like, what? It's like, what are you doing? Is there a game on? April 1st. Ooh. Let's find out. April Foolsam. April Foolsam. You feel it? He feels it. Gotcha. He really feels like Mark's a big April Fools guy. He is a jokester. But that's not a good joke, you're right. It is. I haven't laughed once. It's not really a joke. It's more just like performance art. Oh, okay. You know, it's good really good to make you, um, I don't know what it's going to make you do.
It's going to make me just so light. No, we do. We're playing the Laker. It's home. April 1st. A 30 tip. I know where you'll be. Hey, I have a question, Mark. I don't know. Now that you did it like Fools, you idiot. Now that you did it like that, I feel like it might work. Oh, you thought I was really going to ask you a question. Yeah. Wow. You think that. It's my question, Mark. Alright, I'm out of here. See you later. I just crumpled up and just throw it in the evening. Yeah. I was up with the answer today. I don't know if it's April 4th or really. He does not like that day. Yeah. Okay. Too hot, too cold. Just right. 36% from 3%. Just right. 9th in the NBA. Just right. Just right. I do think just right. Dude, that's a heart.
So what is, like, if you're looking at the 4th or 5th best in the NBA, what is that percentage? 37%. And we shot 36%. Yeah. I just don't foresee them being a top 5, 3.1% of the team. So I think just right. They'll miss Isaiah Joe for sure. They will miss really what they need is they need like McCain to take 400 threes. They need and make 225 of them. And Kaisen Wallace to be better than his 35%. Didn't it feel like Jeremy McCain was way more efficient than he actually was? There was a while where it felt like every shot he was shooting was going to go in. He was 39% in his 30 regular season games. I mean, he was really good. He's got to be probably a little bit better than that. And then it's probably just because it's visible the way he does it.
But man, it feels like he is grinding this off season. Yeah, I think all these guys are. It feels like he's really singing in the shower a lot. That's all I seem to. You watch his YouTube videos now, but I see him on TikTok a lot. He's funny, man. He rocks and I love him. Yeah, he's a good dude. I mean, I think they can be better than this. I think that adding starts who I do think is an knockdown shooter. And I think that I think she can be a little bit better. I think Jay Will is a guy that if he can have consistency from three because he started out the year really, really bad. And then also, like, I think AJ Mitchell has a chance to be a better three-point shooter. I think he knows that Alex Cruz can be a better three-point shooter than he was in the regular season as well. At the 29%, on 181 attempts. I mean, that's not who he is.
Also, Doug shot 29% from three. Oh, yeah, that was during his, like, I mean, he played 33 games and it was all stop and start. And if he's healthy, I mean, for his career, he was 35, 42, 36, worth his first three years in the league. I know, I have an extra shirt I can change into install. You can get that out. Coffee gets out easily. I know, but I have to go to court. Well, it's actually, I just need to really thick tie. Yeah, it takes the spans the whole chest. Exactly. That ties like that. I don't know how one of those, the other clown ties. Uh-huh. Yeah. Part of the hope for the Thundermaking Mort 3s 2 is in the hands of J.Dub. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I mean, this team's ceiling rises and falls on what he does this year. What he dubs this year. What he dubs? Dubs? Huh? I hope he's so healthy.
Yeah. Guy, I hope he's so healthy. I hope he is healthier than anything we've ever seen. Wow. Yeah. Me too. Yeah. Me too. Okay. Free throw attempts. I'm going to guess whether the Thunderbird last year. Uh-huh. Based on the media, uh, number one in the history of all NBA ever. Oh, it's on the complaining. Ten? Seventeenth. Yeah. And free throw attempts per game. Two not two cold just right. I think it's two cold by like three positions. I think it's also two cold. I think we dubbed him. Who's going to make that up? You got dub. Obviously is one of them. It's a couple help. AJ Mitchell. You really hope, yeah, AJ. If AJ, I mean, it'll, it'll, I mean, AJ is another guy who has to stay healthy. I hope he's so healthy. Oh my gosh. You know what, yeah, these can be like fifty, fifty seven games.
Uh, the guys who took the most free throw attempts. Are you okay? I think Starbucks got you. Yeah. Might. Might. What does that say? What are they right on there? Sounds yummy. Sounds yummy. Sounds yummy. Sounds yummy. Sounds yummy. Sounds yummy. Uh, last year we were going wild with stuff that were riding on there. They're not trying very hard. Yeah. Why even do it? You know? Sounds yummy. Um, Shay, obviously number one, nine attempts per game. Then Chet, at four, dub at 3.9, AJ was at 2.8 last year. Then Hart, and then like, now we're in the Isaiah Joe range. So, they have all those guys on their team, and I think double obviously take more. So I think that they'll be, that they'll take more than that. Uh, this season.
So, and easy points going to the free throw line. Oh yeah, free points. Free points. Free real estate. Uh, how about rebounds? You guys? Bounds. I bet they were middle of the pack, 15th. But they were, um, 18th. 12th. Huh? Let's closer, but still lost. Ba. I think that is too cold. I think that's also too cold. Yeah, I think they could be a little bit better rebounding wise. One reason. Tommy Sorbs. Tommy Sorbs and a dimara. That, thinking about those guys in a serious way, they, they went stretches where they didn't have Hart and Stein or Chet, and they relied a ton on Jay Will. Who's a good rebounder, but then they didn't have much behind those guys. I mean, there's a lot of Brandon Carlson, who's not a great rebounder.
So, just having quality depth at the center position, I think, will help the thunder. Yeah, in general. Yep. Too cold. Too cold. Okay. I mean, we're at 38 minutes already. I'm very intrigued to see what a dimara becomes or who he is this year. Yeah. Like, do you watch any of his international highlights? Yeah, I did. He looked like a basketball player, so we got that going for us. He looks a little better. Yeah. Is he crazy to think we're not going to see very much of him? No. No. Okay. And then, I think, I think he's a project. I think he's a work in progress. Yeah, he is. And that's okay. Yeah. Somebody has to be on this roster. Yeah. So, I think he will be. Okay, let's say quick break. We'll come back. We'll answer some. I'm doing an request. Good question.
Hey, John. Jimmy. Hey, John. Hey, John. Jimmy. Okay. All right, our first question comes from at SGA 4 in the P who wants to know if she dub and chat all had to swap bodies and physical attributes. What combination would you choose? Bear in mind, they transfer all skills and abilities. Or would you keep them all in the same bodies? What? I don't know. Okay. This is a very interesting question. I... So, if you change your deck, like if you were creating like the ultimate human out of all of these pieces. Basically, like ultimate basketball player. Basically, if you have Shay and everything he has as a player, but he is the size and shape of chat. What would that be like?
All skills and abilities got you would... That would probably be the swap that you would make. All skills and abilities of Shay in the seven foot body. That's pretty good. Yeah. You think they would be frustrated with his free throws. Although the problem is... The problem is... Now you have chat in Shay's body. Which is maybe not an NBA player. Yeah. I would give up that. It's not as good. Turns out. But you don't put... But then you don't make that. You would put chat to get chats by access to Chets Body. Yeah. You need to put chat in J-Dub's body. And so then you put J-Dub into Shay's body and you're putting Shay, I would think, into chat's body. Oh my gosh. Right. It is too early. I think they should stay in the same bodies. Yeah, I feel like the bodies are good. The bodies are in a good place. I'm switching bodies.
Okay. These bodies are switching. Okay. What would be the ideal... Not ideal, that? If you had the whole team, whose body switches would you have the most... See the role player body switches a whole different conversation. Like if you had K-So, Super thin Chets got to go into K-So's body. Somebody's going to get a body that doesn't make sense for their skill set. Yeah. That's why you got to be careful with the body switches. Yeah. That's the problem with body switching. Eventually you're getting Lindsey Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis body and she unlike it. You know? Yeah. Everyone wants him Lindsey Lohan body. I mean, I feel like that's kind of mean towards Jamie Lee Curtis. That's the conceit of the movie. She's like, I'm a young old lady. She's just a old lady. I'm an old lady. I look old. That's the joke. I understand that. Have you ever heard of a kind? I've never heard of a joke. It's funny. Okay. But yeah. Okay. That's the joke. Okay. That's the joke. If you could swap any role player bodies would it be?
Man, Jeremiah McCain needs a bigger if Jeremiah McCain was in Brooks barn hiser's body. Wow. Okay. That would be wild. Because Brooks he's taller, right? Bigger? Yeah. He is. Bigger, stronger guy. Yeah, definitely. That would be interesting. That would be or Jeremiah McCain and Thomas Sorbers body. That would be wild. Jay, you want you want you want in this body? If we had to switch our bodies, would you want in my body? If we had to. Would you want inside of my body? There. Please tell Jay, do you want to be inside of my body? It's the question. I would like. Yeah. Sure, man. I like a younger body that would not hurt as much. It would be great. Okay. What's the first thing you're doing? Just I'm going to plane some switch probably. You can do that now. And you're. Wow. I don't have a switch. Are we switching wives? What are we doing? I don't. You're going down the pathway of this.
I don't know. I don't know. You know what the first time doing in your body? I'm trying to dunk a basketball. And failing. Well, try not to have quite the shocks I used to. You know, the hops have gone. But I'm trying. You're going to try it. You're literally like an inch and a half shorter than me. What is it? What do you mean? Still. Still. I'm throwing that one. Guess what we're going to do after this. Get L. Mann jumping towards that hoop. I'm saving it up. If you can get on all fours, I'll use her as a kind of a. Oh, he's dead. He's there. Crack right through my back. It's going to say everyone gets hurt. I'm excited. Literally everyone gets hurt. I'm excited. Yeah. All right. Let's go towards next Twitter question. Let's comes from at bring back Wage who says with the new arena. Do you think OKC will ever update their logo? No. Dunseen lock it. I don't think they will. They have it yet. You know? Yeah, there's been many opportunities. They won't.
They won't. I don't think there's any like real desire to do that. OK. It's fine. It's not, but we'll settle. Yeah. That's when I say fine. I just feel like it's just right. No way. It's too cold. It's porridge. Yeah. It's a porridge. It's a cold porridge. Cold porridge. Cold porridge. Cold porridge. Cold porridge. What is porridge? It's like oatmeal, right? It's like oatmeal. It's kind of like oatmeal. Yeah. I think a form of oatmeal. OK. Great. Hey, our next Twitter question comes from at Greg underscore. Roshan 35269. Nice. Who says win is Thunder Medita? September 28th. September 28th. Cool beans. Cool beans. Our porridge is a warm soft food made by boiling grain cereals or legumes in water or milk
until it thickens. But you can boil legumes. Apparently. And that counts as porridge? Yeah. Porge kind of makes me want to throw up. No, tap your starchy plants, typically grain. Yeah, I was going to say legumes. Get out of here. OK, I'd threw the worms in there. Oh, see. I know. I can't trust it. I do feel like you would say legume. I remember when Taylor made the AI game that had questions that AI answered and all of the answers were wrong. Yeah. That was the worst thing we've ever done on this podcast. I agree. Other grains used for porridge include rice, maize, wheat, example, fermenti, barley, corn, tritocale. Hold on. Maze is corn. And I was going to say maize and corn. Maze is corn. They're the same thing. How's maize not corn? That's the exact same thing. Also known as corn. Boom. Maze means corn in Spanish. Exactly. Uh-huh. Maze on the cob. That's right. Maze on the cob. OK, next, Twitter question.
Comes from at ThunderUp ATL. Who wants to know? What are we thinking is going to happen with this final roster spot? I mean, they'll leave it open and then they'll either convert it to a or just find somebody later on. Yeah, or they can use it for trade too. Like, if they want to take on a player or they're going to take on two players for one, they could do that. Yeah. So it's just there for extra flexibility. But you look up and down the roster, like, how are they going to find somebody that can really take on minutes right now? And especially, come play off time. It's going to be tough. So they would have to make a pretty significant trade for that to work out. But if Otegas any good, they'll convert him. That's kind of the pattern that they've had through the years. Because that guys like that will take those.
Otega. But, yeah, I don't expect it to be something really meaningful. I think they tried to fill the spot with a guy who I think could have been a meaningful player, but I don't think there's anybody. There was nobody else left in the market. They really made all that much sense to pay, especially with the amount you have to pay for that player with the taxes included. So I don't think that they're just itching to fill that spot at the moment. They did this whenever they were expensive before. So they would leave that spot open in the past. And then once you get down the line, you pay a player a per rated contract. You pay a player a per rated contract. That's right. I couldn't even say it one time fast. So you could sign a buyout guy, too, which is something that's under it a lot back in the day. So. Hey, our next and probably last Twitter question comes to at Blake Bollard 13 who wants
to know with a baller having an FU attitude and FU money, do you think he throws $100 million at Presti and tells him to trade a paperclip for a house over the next seven years? Or would the rest of the week not even pick up the phone in spite and Presti gets $100 million to do nothing and it just hurts. Okay, see. I mean, Sam has had opportunities to go elsewhere and I don't think. Hey, what would you think he'd say, hey, would you want the worst job in the league that can can Bollard even hire anybody right now? I don't know. Is it even a thing? He cannot from the facility. I mean, I don't even know what their capabilities are right now as far as, I mean, they have a hefty front office as it is. So I don't know.
I don't know that Sam would leave the thunder in that way. I don't know. I mean, obviously Sam is not going to be the GM of the Thunder forever. Yeah, right. I think he is. That's cold. Cold. Cold. Too cold. Yes, he's going to be. My guess is that if he left the thunder, he would go to something completely different and not stay in basketball. I like honestly, the one that I thought he would leave this team was when the Boston job came up. Yeah, I'm like, what if he didn't take that, he's not going to the clippers. Yeah, I don't even know if he, if they even had a conversation. I think his long-term future is moving into like ownership level leadership for the Thunder. Or so, I don't know. I mean, there's, I don't know how you go higher than what he currently is, but it's like or league wide leadership. That's the only reason, the way I could see it happening. Yeah, I would guess he might be more interested in doing something completely different. Like a different sport. Like a like, like, like, go lead a business.
Attack, start up. Get really into competitive bodybuilding. Yeah, that one. Yeah. That's, that's what I could see. Or just retire. He's like, you could do that. He's like 30. I know, but I'm saying he's something, I mean, what else do I do? You've hit the pinnacle of everything you've done. Like, if your next career could also be not having a career, like being home and hanging out with your kids and family, I think Sam with short circuit a little bit, but yeah, I don't, that doesn't seem likely either. Yeah. Hey, I have a question for you guys. Are you MF and are you P? MF? MF? MF? MF and P. MF? I mean, the stage of life where I injure myself while sleeping. Oh, yeah, yeah. And one of the things that continuously happens is I will lay on my side. I don't do that. And I will either extend my arm or I'll tighten it up.
And either way, there's this nerve that runs right. Kind of your funny bone nerve. Yeah. And it, I wake up in the morning and my hand, like everything hurts and is numb from like elbow down to the tip of my pinky. Not so funny. Not so funny. Not so funny. It's the worst. I thought you were going somewhere else. You thought that's what I was going to say? No, but I can't. It'd be funny if you did. Anyway, so today I'm like, my hand is just like, throbbing. All right, we're about you guys. I'm good. How about that coffee stain? I'm not that good, but the kind of, they can't really see it. They can't really see it. The shadows. Yeah, the camera. You can see it a little. It's not really reading on camera. I'll probably change shirts. But, why not? We'll see. Probably forget about it. Got a cord instead. Yeah, who cares? Yeah. Give a crap. No, I'm having good, though. Good.
Good. So Amy's having surgery on Tuesday next week. So programming will be a little bit different for the next couple of weeks at least. Maybe longer. I'm going to try to prerecord some stuff for next week and have that ready to go for you guys. So I'll be out from all podcasting activities for a little while. But if you pray for her on Tuesday, around 1 o'clock is when the surgery is. And if you bought a my wife shirt or an A-team shirt, because where at that day and like send it to me on Twitter or Instagram or something, just to maybe boost her spirits a little bit after surgery, just to let her know all the dunkers and listeners that are supporting. We're like, it's like, that'd be amazing. I'm sorry, like Goku and the Spirit Palm. Yes. And we're sending all the energies. Yes.
It's Dragon Ball ZJ. Come on, Jay. Goku, it's his ultimate attack. It's how he beat Frieza. Yeah, we're trying to beat Frieza. We're trying to beat Frieza. We're trying to beat Frieza here. Sell, Majin Boo. Oh, it's how he beats him all. Yeah, you know. We're the A-team shirts. We're the my wife shirts on Tuesday. We'd appreciate that a lot. And send me a picture wherever you're at. Hope everybody's having an awesome day. We'll talk to you guys again on Monday. I'm just a joy. I'm just a joy. I'm not alone. Oh. Good night. Good night.
