You know those few seconds of awkward silence in a meeting? Everyone is waiting for someone to go first. Let that be you! Speak up first.
A diplomatic way to share your opinion is to start off with, “here’s my vote” or “here’s what I think”. This will establish you as a leader.
Ask directly. Be very clear on what you’re asking. Use a direct ask such as: “I have a goal to be ______. My next step is ______. What do I need to do to get there?”
