Why it's OK to Move Along - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites Podcast

About this episode

Are you a reader? I love books and usually have two or three going at a time. Most of them are non-fiction, and there’s usually a fiction tossed in for fun.

Do you ever just stop reading a book? I do, though it rarely happens with non-fiction. Sometimes I’ve chosen a fictional tale that I thought I’d like and then discover I really kinda don’t.

Does that happen to you, too? You keep reading, and suddenly instead of wanting to turn the page, you want to close the book.

Go ahead. Close it.

There’s no reason to keep reading a book you don’t care for, and this works in life, too. If you’ve been doing something that seemed like a good idea when it started, and now it’s just not interesting or fun, close the book. Whether it’s work, friendship, or relationship, close the book when it stops feeding your soul.

Life is short. Live it the way you want to.
