Why Is Trump Throwing In with Corporate GOP? | 3/12/24

About this episode

Increasingly, Trump is going all in for the corporate wing of the GOP. I go through the disturbing pattern of policies and endorsements that indicate Trump’s leftward shift is about a lot more than RINO flattery. He is desperate for cash and is willing to do anything for it. It’s part of the broader problem of how conservatives fight on things in the abstract, such as inflation, invasion, and corporatism, but then when it comes to the tangible fight, they are subversive. The corporate interests are influencing red state primaries and legislation, yet at a time when we need a party leader to fight them, he is joining them. Finally, I tackle the latest news on inflation and how it’s criminal that Republicans can’t engage in a budget battle with political tailwinds on the economy that are as strong as the momentum against the border invasion.  Learn more about your ad choices.
