Why Do You Kick Yourself When You're Down? - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites Podcast

About this episode

Are you a compassionate person? Very few people would answer that question “no” and yet I bet you can be very non-compassionate at times.

For example, when you make a mistake, where does your compassion go? When you have to ask someone else for help, where does your compassion go? When you say words you wish you hadn’t said, where does your compassion go?

You are a compassionate person and you’re also human. Being human means you’re not going to get everything right all the time. It means you do need to ask for help sometimes. And it means that words won’t always come out just the way you mean them.

In those times when your usual reaction is to mentally berate yourself, remember that you’re a compassionate person. Give yourself compassion, too.
