0:00Do you have any gracious gods? We come before your holy presence, we ask your forgiveness, but each and every known sin be at worst thoughts or actions in our lives. And we thank you for what Jesus Christ has crossed the Calvary. We ask you allow your Holy Spirit to take today's message, make it clear to the believer of the household of faith. In Jesus' name we ask you and thank you, amen. Welcome back to Challenges of Faith for Radio Program. You know, only daily basis, you really don't know who you're meeting out there in the real world. You know what's true? Before the believer of the household of faith, I hope today's message kind of reawaking you, if it doesn't awaken you at all. In the Word of God, it says, and they arrived at the country of gatherings, which is over Galilee and when he went forth to land and met him out of the city of certain man,

1:05which had devils long time and were no clothes, neither abode in any house but in the tombs. When he saw Jesus with a loud voice said, he cried out and fell down before him and with a loud voice said, whatever I do with the Jesus, the Son of God most high. I beseech thee, torn at me not, so he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man for oftentimes it had caught him and he was kept bound with chains and infeaders and he break the bans and was driven of the devil into the wilderness. And Jesus asked him, saying, what is thy name? And he said, Legion, because many devils ran into him and they've sought him that he would not command him to go out into the deep and there was their herd of many swine feeding on the mountain and they've sought him that he would suffer them to enter into them and he suffered them.

2:07They met the devils out of the man and entered into the swine and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the lake and were choked. When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled and went and told it in the city and in the country. Then he went out to see what was done and came to Jesus and found the man out of whom the devils were departing sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind and they were afraid. They also was sawed by what means he that was possessed if the devils was healed. Then the whole multitude of the country the gatherings round about, he sought him to depart from them for they were taken with great fear and when he went up into the ship and returned again, now the man out of whom the devils were departing, he saw him that he might be with him. You can find it in Luke chapter 8 verse 26, Luke 40, I know you wrote it down and when you read it you notice how this is one of the many scriptures which brings out our blessed Lord before us, especially on his victorious, a victor with that satanic power. There are a lot of people today and maybe they should have tuned in our backs and now who refused to accept the Bible's teaching as to the personality of Satan in his house. There are a lot of people that think of the devils simply and you know it's true, the personification of evil, but you notice how the word of God shows you

4:10and I clearly that he was now the devil's one time with pure spirit and holding angel and tenet on the throne of God. Do you remember? Do you remember he fell through pride? Our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ says of him, he had bowed not in the truth. So it's evident that many of the angels were involved in his rebellion and I now leave with him, especially in his opposition to God, our Savior and Christ followers, you are one or you're not. And you got to remember there's only one devil, there are many demons and when you see the plural form devils it's always youth in a new testament records and you got to keep in mind should always be understood as referring to demons because there's a translation of the Greek word which means just that rather than devils. Do you notice in our Lord's earthly ministry how did he frequently met people who were under

My brother, I was sort of a you and I might not be able to understand fully what was involved in this power of a man and women and women and men, but we know that our Lord was always victorious over it and hearing these scripture passages that you heard me just read. And you got to think about it even if your own life if it's a current it's a terrible thing when Satan gets such control of a man or one woman of man that they're no longer amenable to respect the ability even decent restraint and when evil habits so dominate and control that one is

7:20outside the ordinary law of bunning circumstances yet you got to remember how many are thus subject to sin and Satan. In fact I was a little afraid we don't know what way the demons fully control and how they gain control of this man but it's clear to some time or other in this early life he had opened a door to them maybe by persistence and sands that the law of God condemned and maybe that's the way in your life but as a result he was the slave to these evil spirits and it lost a part of controlling himself and he noticed how his friends couldn't do anything with him. Think about it if his parents was living you know their hearts must have been broken they just saw him in this hopeless condition and maybe you as a loving parent or parents or mentor or grandparent whoever you happen to be and you're seeing your child your grandchild or the person that you love

8:21in this condition but you notice that that finally the day it came when he was brought into contact with our bless the Lord himself and then you notice everything was changed just like in your own life our savior was the only one who can help him and he noticed he was there for that very reason because it's evidence that the demons within him recognized the Lord at once because the word lets us know that when this man saw Jesus he cried out and fell down before and with the loud voice said whatever I did do with Jesus our son of God most high I besieged the torment me you notice how the demon was speaking to him and lips did this unholy fallen spirit new exactly or savior was he recognized in Jesus the son of God who showed yet sin on the throne of judgment and already in fear the hour had come when he was to be cast into the lake of fire

10:25savior didn't really answer his question but put another question to this vile spirit what is thy name he demanded and you notice how the answer came legion because we're told many demons were entered into him and you already know if you've already studied that a Roman legion was ordinarily made above about six thousand men and maybe we don't need to take legion here literally but any rated indicates that a vast number of demons that enter to this man think about it he himself was unable to reply personally because he was so completely under their control and you know when you think about it was seemed that these demons or disembodied spheres yearned to come into positions of the bodies of men and women and women and men in order that they may stir them up into unlawfully and dreadful passions which was called them to insult the God who created them do you notice that do you notice when the Lord Jesus Christ commanded the legion to leave the body demanded they begged to be allowed to take possessions of the bodies of a herd of swine which

11:31was feeding their body and do you notice that the Lord gave consent permission do you notice when you keep reading the story understanding the story applying the story if it's applicable expelled from the man they entered into the swine and you notice the powerful result that the herd ran violently down the steep place into the lake and were choked you know it's interesting you see the gear was essentially well what's interesting is simple man women women and men's ability for evil look around today but here you got two thousand pigs couldn't hold the demons there possessed one man and instead of this powerful evidence of the Lord's power over Satan's kingdom making an impression for good upon the hearts of those who saw what was done the word lesses know that they fled and he went in and told him to sit in the country and he related to

13:33country the gatherings round about they sought him to depart from them for they were taken with great fear and he went up into the ship and returned back again you notice how Jesus never remains with people who don't want him the question is do you want him here you got men and women and women are permitted to such circumstances whether they receive him or not but you notice though he left these gatherings at that particular time did you and I can be thankful to the Lord that the day did come when he returned to the same country and found a wonderful welcome do you notice it was brought about in this way that the delivered man was so happy over the great change that had come into his life that he pleaded with the Lord Jesus that he might be with them as I stop and take a sip of water do you notice that and the question in your own life are you happy about the

14:38change the great change that's come into your life since you accept the Christ as you save him think about this man would have joined the company of the apostles and gone to the Savior from place to place because you can tell evidently his heart was so filled with the love and gratitude because of his miraculous deliverance that he wanted to remain as near as redeemer as he could but our Savior had something else in mind for him instead of taking him away from him he said to the man returned to that own house and show how great these God have done unto them or better than I sort of faith do you remember who's died for you do you remember who changed you no man or woman or man changed you your employer didn't change you the political leader didn't change you the law enforcement person didn't change you the sociology person the medical person did that's a case no person you name him do you remember who changed you think about this man
