When the Dead Speak, Part Two | The Grave Talks

About this episode

This is a Graves Talks CLASSIC EPISODE! PART TWO

For Chelsea Gill, her connection to the unseen began at an early age—an experience that would shape the course of her life. What started as a childhood moment evolved into a calling: helping others connect with loved ones who have passed on and delivering messages she describes as “downloads” from the other side.

In this conversation, we sit down with Chelsea Gill to explore her journey into mediumship, how her abilities developed over time, and the responsibility that comes with delivering deeply personal messages. From providing comfort and closure to offering guidance during life’s most difficult moments, Chelsea shares how her work impacts the people who seek her out.

We also discuss how she interprets spiritual communication, what she believes about life after death, and how she navigates skepticism while staying grounded in her experiences.

What does it truly mean to serve as a bridge between worlds?

How did your gift work in tandem for you with your criminal justice career? And you tell any stories about that and how it was used, how you used it yourself personally as you went down that road and went into the world of being a detective. And how also did your co-workers view it or did you open up about those abilities as well to them?

3:01So as I was going through high school, obviously I knew I had the gift. I was trying to figure out, do I want to go into social services for children, you know, in homes, or do I want to do the police? I said, you know what? I'm going to study criminology and criminal justice because you can do multiple things, psychology, sociology, criminal law. And I said, you know what? I'm going to head in this direction and see where it takes me. So I invested into private school that I knew that they had local law enforcement workers as the college professors. So I didn't have somebody that studied, you know, psychology, teaching psychology. I have a person that is a detective that has a master in psychology, teaching the psychology class. And that's what I wanted. I wanted to know the bitty gritty of law enforcement.

4:02So throughout my college years, I switched from one college to another and I listened within to take certain classes each semester because you have a choice after you get your prerequisite that I knew I was going to change, I was going to alter my ending. And I'm like, well, like I knew I was going to alter it, but I didn't know where. So I was like, I want to become a cop, like that's what I want to do. And that I didn't want to become a cop. I wanted to be a detective, but you can't do that without being a, you know, in patrol. Sure. So I graduated with my master in criminal justice with a minor in psychology. And I actually didn't use that degree in the sense of working in the field. I picked that degree and worked for the fraud department of a very big bank. And I was a fraud investigator. As a psychic, I still to this day consult for the local agencies here for missing people

5:07cases and cold case files. So I used a degree, but it's all volunteer work on that aspect of that makes sense. Sure. So I never went into become, I never finished to become a cop. I have the degree to do so, but I said, I'm, I'm only able to help one person of them in a cop car, where if I open up my corporation and I'm consulting on cold case and missing people files for local agencies, and then I have my patients and my clients, that's what I want to do. And at the age of 22, I opened up my corporation in New York State, and I'm still helping on cold case and missing people files, but it's all pro bono. Sure. I don't get paid, which is fine because I want to help family. And when you were working with the fraud detection and trying to find that, how it was it almost, I'm going to make it, you know, an analogy that will understand from our generations is, was it like putting a cheat code into the game in terms of, of like, oh, I can tell

6:11you right now, when I have this list of things I'm supposed to investigate, which ones are legitimately going to turn up fraud and which ones are just going to be shitty accounting. You know, did you already know like going in, you know, this, this one is legitimately fraud, and this one, this person just doesn't know how to use QuickBooks. I love it. So what I always did was, is because we had a team that I went with that going, what is the word, I know which ones are the worst, even without looking, for example, we have a credit card fraud, and it was only for 50 bucks. That's very mild, but I knew that person was on a rampage. Sure. So I would assign my top lead investigator to say, less than I need you to go here and do this and this. And then the little ones, like the little ones, typically the $50 ones, you can definitely tell, like, no, that person just needed extra Christmas gifts this year. Yeah. You know, but like I then would assign, but I do put that in ugly and which way to approach and which one came first.

7:14It was, I'll be honest, it was overwhelming because of how many people do fraud, so that I'm feeling all the energy of these people plus their families that they sold from. To figure out, we need to get it done now because credit card or your QuickBooks scores on the line, because someone just wrapped it up your credit card and it ain't yours. That I always knew good, bad, and ugly. It was very overwhelming though. It didn't feel like I was normal in the job. I always said, I just wanted to be that fraud investigator leader that just did fraud investigating. And so I talked to that people and listened and then did fraud investigating. How did it, how did that affect you emotionally being surrounded in a career that, you know, when you're looking for essentially people doing nefarious acts, you're, which in turn is obviously, you know, negative. And that's what your job is. You're tasked to find people who are trying to get away with things, trying to defraud

8:17the system, trying to defraud others. Just that, that world and then having to interact with the actions which, which they undertook and then maybe sometimes, you know, with the individuals themselves or people associated with them. How did that way on you, you know, emotionally just having to be surrounded by such minds, by such, you know, individuals and attitudes and negativity as a person, as how you perceive things being as sensitive as you are? It became overwhelming to the point of I remember that I resigned within about 3.5 years of that job title because you would, me as being, I always say, like, I'm different if we're going to look at it that way because I see things that you may not or hear things that you may not. But that doesn't make us any difference. But the best way to extreme is I wasn't normal because I would know the person that

9:17filled that credit card was a sociopath and he's, they're going to be doing something they shouldn't be doing. Sure. And I remember I, at that point in time, I was trying to, I would say, cleanse your body and protect yourself. But when you're working that 70s a week, most cases because of the holiday season, I remember bringing at home that I was just exhausted and my husband could just kept looking at me like, is this what you want to do? We know you want to help people, but is this what you want to do? Yeah. And because it was, he was my boyfriend at the time, but I was 19 with that job. I was very grateful to start that job in a 22 leaf after working in Carb America for all that time, that it started to weigh on me mentally, which caused medical problems because I just didn't know how to release all the emotion that I was feeling. Sure. How often do you believe, and this is, you know, an opinion and experience-based question,

10:19when we're talking about going off the topic of fraud investigation, but when we're talking about individuals who have issues mentally that they are suffering from, when we're talking about paranormal things and we're talking about, they're getting messages, they're they think they're talking to a deceased loved one or maybe they actually are talking to a deceased loved one, but they've also been diagnosed with a mental illness of some sort. How often do you think the world of mental illness and being sensitive to the paranormal intersect, but oftentimes just in society, it's all brushed into the bucket of mental illness and the the ability or the the message that's coming through to them with intent from someone on the other side, it's just being dismissed. I think what happens, I'm gonna tell you at least, yeah, 10 times, I personally see psychiatric

11:24patients, so I work hand in hand with vocal, therapist with grief counseling, plus schizophrenia and mental disorders, but they send them to me because I could actually get into the head going, is this person real that they are talking to? Are they being affected by something that didn't their health, that they keep saying that they're hearing and they're being scratched, where the vocals on that everyday day life, the doctor is going to say, you know what, you're seeing people hearing people, you're with medication and you're diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, where I do believe the afterlife does communicate with us, but there's multiple dimensions of the afterlife. So we can have that person that's saying that they're hearing voices and they swear to God, their keys keep getting moved on them and their father dies, think it's their father, they end up getting the bad starts shaking at night, they're waking up with scratches,

12:29they're having nightmares and it's turning a little darker. Psychiatrists and normal psychiatrists that I don't work with would say, you know what, I think, you know, the slip personality disorder is coming out of the schizophrenic, we're gonna put you on some medication, where they actually might be dealing with something darker within their home that is affecting their mental state, and that's why I'm very thankful that people locally trust me with their patients to observe that and then I take care of it as a reverend like going to the house or if it's something I've had to do, adjust access to them on a place and on a person, because again, 8 out of 10, they have something paranormal happening, may not be good and say the last 25 years they've been dealing with it, so yes, it did turn into a mental condition that we can't reverse, but we can at least help, they don't feel like they're hearing all the voices still. So about 8 out of 10 times, I will say, yes, paranormal is affecting it.

13:34Are you saying almost in some cases, it starts out as some sort of paranormal intervention that torments the individual, but through the conditioning of those just repeated paranormal interactions, it ends up kind of enveloping itself into a mental condition or mental illness, once the what we would call paranormal or spiritual or spirit interaction ceases, because their brain has been so conditioned to to look for this or think for this and or find this, even when it's gone, it's now developed into something else. Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying, and it's crazy to think, because a lot of people don't think in that intellectual side of what really could be happening, but your placebo, your brain is the most powerful organ in your body, what you tell it is what it's going to believe. So, paranormal, we know in a negative standpoint, praise on those who are weak, we've

14:36mind it, anxiety, depression, those who already possibly have a mental illness and are not diagnosed yet, it's going to be on that, and once they did its job, it's got the damage. Yeah. It's like letting a match, you throw the match into the fire, the match was once there, but the match eventually burns and it's gone, but the fire is still going, and so it's almost like if the match was the initial spirit or whatever, you would call it that was making the interaction, it does its thing, it's burned, it's, it's going now, and then it still, it still has to be either put out or, or, you know, let it, let it burn. What, what to you has been one of the most satisfying parts or cases, if you will, that you've worked on and helped with in terms of, as you mentioned earlier, helping with fighting missing people or, or crime scenes and cases like that, personally to you, when you look back on what you've done thus far in life, what has been one of the most satisfying

15:39things that you've done and obviously you don't need to name, is there anything like that to protect privacy, but, but just in general terms, what, you know, if you can give us kind of the bullet points of what you've walked away from going, this really, you know, this is why I, I went down this path and I'm happy I have this ability. About five years ago, I worked on a case of a young boy that went missing up in the mountains, about seven hours from me, and all we knew, all that was given to me was their first and last name, their age, and their last known whereabouts, so I worked along, I asked my guides and my angels and God to guide me, where did he start that day? Because even though he ended up on that route, how did he get there? What events led up to that?

16:39And we were able to find remains, bankmen, near water, that he fell off the cliff while walking, he was intoxicated, but he ended up on that road because he walked in on his best friend with his girlfriend, and he got into a heated argument because he was intoxicated that best friend put him in the car and because people, can be people, he got out of the car and that guy was intoxicated and walked too close to the cliff and fell, that after three years we were able to find remains. We got called on the case and within six weeks we found his remains to at least bring closure because at that point, no, it's a search and recovery, that we were able to bring closure to his parents to know that it was not homicide, murder,

17:45anything like that, it wasn't suicide, it wasn't something unfortunate accident, but we were able to bring him home and that was the most satisfying knowing that I was given the gift to help people here but listen to the familiar side to guide, so that was the most satisfying. When you were on that case and you were trying to figure this out and find something and not knowing exactly you would find, you said you were asking God, you were asking your guides, were you also asking the individual who had passed away, is that something where they're able to and sometimes come back and tell you, I'm over here or my remains are over here? Yes, so what you can do is call the remote viewing, so I asked the young boy to, in my third eye, which is right between your eyebrows, if you were to stand up, what's around you and I'm

18:47able to see, I always call it, it's like a peripheral vision that I was able to see certain trees, but again, true to their tree, I don't know a difference between one tree or another, I'm like, okay, I'm seeing this type of tree, I'm seeing this type of rock nearby and I'm able to touch, so I'm able to feel what type of grass am I in blood, am I, sounds bad, was I buried, that I was able to feel around me and that was used in the sense of, if we were to see a bridge and we look down and we see, well those are the big puddle that tells us, let's go down there, that it led to the area, but by the time I did the remote viewing and six weeks later it was, we went from summer to fall, so the grass changed, so at that point things were overgrown, that we had to go off of certain smells, and we all know certain flowers have a smell, I kept smelling lilacs,

19:52I got smell flowers, a lilac, and thank God goodness they were somewhat still blooming, but that was the key component to finding the body, from what I can see here, feel, smell and touch from the deceased.
