When Leaders Fail | Lessons from the Wilderness: Numbers & Deuteronomy

This week we’ll study Numbers 20:1-13 under the theme “When Leaders Fail.” At the end of forty years in the wilderness, Moses fails to trust God and misrepresents his grace to a new generation, bringing severe consequences on himself. Yet God still brings life-giving water from the rock, showing that even when his servants fail, God remains faithful to his people and his promises.

Series Summary: The wilderness exposes what is in the human heart. But it also reveals the unwavering faithfulness of God. Through Israel’s fear, grumbling, failures, and blessings, this series will call us to trust God’s promises, receive his gracious provision, love him wholeheartedly, and choose the life found in Christ.
