El: Η Ελάρα κάθισε μέσα στο μικρό καφέ στην Πλάκα, κοιτώντας έξω από το παράθυρο.
En: I Elara sat inside the small café in Plaka, looking out the window.

El: Έβλεπε τις αρχαίες ρωγμές και τα φωτάκια που κοσμούσαν τα στενά δρομάκια με τον ερχομό των Χριστουγέννων.
En: She saw the ancient cracks and the lights that adorned the narrow streets with the arrival of Christmas.

El: Στο τραπέζι της υπήρχε ένα φλιτζάνι ζεστής σοκολάτας και το πολύτιμο σκίτσο της.
En: On her table was a cup of hot chocolate and her precious sketch.

El: Νιώθε φόβο να το δείξει.
En: She was afraid to show it.

El: Ο κόσμος δεν καταλάβαινε πάντα την τέχνη της.
En: People did not always understand her art.

El: Ο Νίκος μπήκε στον χώρο με την ανάλαφρη άνεση κάποιου που ήξερε ακριβώς πού βρισκόταν.

El: Ωστόσο, μέσα της υπήρχε μια ανάγκη να πει περισσότερα.

El: Σκέφτηκε το σκίτσο της, γεμάτο γιορτινό πνεύμα και αρχαίες εικόνες της Αθήνας.
En: She thought about her sketch, full of festive spirit and ancient images of Athina.

El: Ο Νίκος παρατήρησε το σκίτσο της.
En: O Nikos noticed her sketch.

El: «Μπορώ να δω αυτό που ζωγραφίζεις;
En: "May I see what you're drawing?"

El: » ρώτησε ευγενικά.
En: he asked politely.

El: Η Ελάρα δίστασε, αλλά τελικά του έδωσε το σκίτσο.
En: I Elara hesitated but eventually handed him the sketch.

El: «Είναι η Αθήνα μας, αυτή την εποχή,» είπε.
En: "It's our Athina during this time," she said.

El: Ο Νίκος κοίταξε το σκίτσο με προσοχή.
En: O Nikos looked at the sketch carefully.

El: «Είναι υπέροχο,» σχολίασε.
En: "It's wonderful," he commented.

El: «Ξέρεις, η οικογένειά μου κάθε Χριστούγεννα ανάβει πολλές κεράκια και λέμε παραδοσιακές ιστορίες.
En: "You know, every Christmas my family lights many candles and we tell traditional stories.

El: Μου θυμίζει αυτή την οικεία ατμόσφαιρα.
En: It reminds me of that familiar atmosphere."

El: »Ξαφνικά, τα φώτα στο καφέ έσβησαν.
En: Suddenly, the lights in the café went out.

El: Έμειναν μόνο τα μικρά φώτα από τα παράθυρα.
En: Only the small lights from the windows remained.

El: Μια γαλήνη κατέκλυσε τον χώρο.
En: A calmness filled the space.

El: «Σαν να είμαστε μόνο εμείς εδώ,» είπε η Ελάρα.
En: "It's like it's just us here," said I Elara.

El: Ο Νίκος άναψε ένα κερί από το διπλανό τραπέζι.
En: O Nikos lit a candle from the next table.

El: Το φως του κεριού αψογοποίησε τις σκιές στα πρόσωπά τους.
En: The candlelight perfected the shadows on their faces.

El: Και τότε άρχισαν να μιλούν.
En: And then they began to talk.
