How's your child's cumulative experience of himself based on your interactions and feedback? Is it mostly positive or negative? Do you find yourself scolding, admonishing, criticizing often?
IN this solo episode Anna answers a question that was posted by a community member and offers some additional ideas, suggestions, insights and tips for making your child feel heard, seen, understood and important.
Behavior is a powerful form of communication. We need to look underneath it to discover the root causes, the hidden reasons for the undesired behavior. Do not treat the challenging behavior in isolation because there is more to behavior than meets the eye.
Here are some questions to ask.
- Is this my child's problem or mine?
- Is this my fear/worry/anxiety or my child's?
