Nearly half of Canadians support banning sex change operations and life-altering hormone treatments like puberty blockers for children, according to a recent poll. However, more Canadians will want to protect children from the horrors of these procedures after hearing what a Canadian surgeon recently said about these radical procedures. Dr. Alex Laungani, a clinician at Canada’s Metropolitan Center Of Surgery, told his colleagues at the World Professional Association for Transgender Health that the trans medical industry has grown too quickly and that there could be “a lack of training and not proper training.” He also highlighted the “pretty bad” consequences of genital surgeries.
