What to Do About Stone-Throwers - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites Podcast

About this episode

When you have a big idea, people get scared. Maybe they’re scared of the bigness of the idea, and maybe they’re scared for you because they don’t want to see you fail.

Big ideas scare people, and when people are frightened, the worst parts of their personalities come out.

Jealousy and a desire for you to fail comes out in some people. Others want to make you conform so they won’t look bad by comparison. Still others truly care about you and don’t want you to fail. All of them will throw figurative stones at your idea, and maybe at you. Because they’re not real stones they won’t break your skin or your bones, but they still have the power to hurt, and maybe even make you second-guess yourself.

Don’t react to the stones. Keep following the dream that is your big idea. Those who come with you are the ones whose opinions matter.
