Willpower isn’t why Muslims stay stuck...

Most of us already know what we’re supposed to do.

We just can’t stay consistent when life presses in.

That struggle usually is the nafs pulling in directions it was never taught to follow.

Islam never asked you to destroy your nafs.

It asked you to purify it, guide it, and train it until it settles.

When the nafs isn’t coached, it runs on fear, comfort, and approval.

And eventually that pressure burns people out, even when the intention was sincere.

Real transformation happens when the heart, soul, and nafs are brought back into alignment with Allah.

That’s when change stops feeling forced and starts feeling grounded.

Why is it as Muslims? We know exactly what to do, but we still can't move. In this video I'm going to be teaching a powerful tool to help you move from inconsistent action to inshallah a pull towards who you want to become. Why motivation fades? Why a man feels inconsistent? Why growth feels heavy? And why clearly keeps slipping? And why none of that is because you're broken. It's because you've never been taught how to lead your knuffs. A big focus in the other Islamic coaching certification I discovered you is disciplining the knuffs. In shallah in this video I'm going to show you and hopefully walk you through what exactly it means to coach the knuffs and a powerful tool that will shift you away from why it's not just a little power alone that can change everything and how Islam built an entire science of inner leadership. And why this is the missing foundation behind real transformation, not just a mindset hack, not just a hustle, but really purification in shallah and alignment and returning back to Allah SWT.

And for some of you this will also explain maybe why you feel a pull to want to support others and be part of that journey. If you feel something deeper inside of you and you know it's not just self-help but real spiritual growth then inshallah you're going to benefit from this video. To coach the knuffs you want to really understand what is that struggle and the purpose. This is completely different than how the conversations around secular coaching are approached. You see the prophet Salallahu alayhi sallam said the strong one is not the one who overcomes others and wrestling but the one who controls himself at the time of anger. So what do we actually do with the knuffs and what is the knuffs and why does coaching it actually matter. So here's a brief Islamic psychology framework of the knuffs. There are three categories of the knuffs. Knuffs Salamara, the commanding knuffs, knuffs alawama, the self-reproaching knuffs, and knuffs al-multma inna, the tranquil knuffs, the one that loves to please Allah.

Transformation can't rely on willpower alone. There's a door where the prophets Salallahu alayhi sallam mentioned do not leave me to myself for the blink of an eye. Because coaching the knuffs means becoming someone who can witness their inner state without drowning in it. Redirecting your emotions instead of reacting to them are worse to be led by them. Aligning your decisions with Allah but not your fears or wounds. We can hold space for them but they don't dictate how we submit to Allah. Imam Huzali gives a beautiful analogy. He says your knuffs is like a horse. If you don't learn to ride it, it will ride you. Aladdant say to destroy the knuffs. He said purify it. Allah SWT says in the Quran in Sura Shams, he has succeeded who purifies it and he has failed who corrupts it. So this is the lifelong process for the believer. Transformation begins in Islam with reflection, with purpose, with presence and with surrender and submission to Allah.

You see why most growth fails for people because it's built on pressure, not purpose. It trains you to hassle harder, not lead from the inside out and it teaches you to push yourself instead of being pulled towards Allah SWT. In most sector coaching spaces, the focus is overcome your weakness, crush your limiting beliefs, manifest your desires, step into your power. And this sounds empowering but it's often rooted in ego, not elevation. It creates pressure to perform. It definitely impresses and you achieve great things. But to treat your knuffs is something to dominate rather than understand and align. You see most importantly, it removes Allah from the center. You become the God of your own transformation. Your success becomes about you. Your peace depends on you. Your entire identity rides on your ability to be perfect. No wonder burnout is so common. No wonder it doesn't last. You don't need another system that treats your soul like a machine.

You need a path that respects your humanity, honors your pain and pulls you toward alignment with Allah. See that's where coaching the knuffs comes in. So what we teach at Adwam is part of the Islamic foundation when it comes to coaching and specifically coaching the knuffs. Because at Adwam we're always evolving and we base it on real life case studies, spiritual coaching that is informed and centered around Allah SWT and that's what we're shaping together. So the tool that I want to give you is called the three lens coaching model. It's an Islamic reframe of self awareness and decision making. So if someone is stuck in fear and failure or in decision, most secular coaching will say, you know, what are you thinking about? What's holding you back? But we have a shift in Islamic coaching. We don't just stop at our thoughts. We explore the state of the knuffs and how to return it back to the alignment. We use three lenses to coach the inner state. Lens one is the lens of the knuffs. What is my ego and my knuffs want right now? Is it seeking comfort, approval, power, is it acting from fear, from anger, from insecurity?

This uncovers what your lower self is clinging to and will bring forward a lot of truth. If you don't have that's awareness, it's going to be really hard to fully submit and move up to insha'Allah, the menafzal mutma innah. The second lens, the lens of the heart, the gulp. You want to ask yourself, what is my heart know to be true right now? What is the higher truth I'm avoiding? And what would it look like to choose sincerity and pleasure of Allah? This helps the client or yourself reconnect to the fitrah. That natural inclination to want to please Allah. Because when your face or force to face what the reality is versus what you would like to believe or what it feels more comfortable, then the path ahead feels much more lighter and alhamdulillah direct. The third lens, the lens of the akhira. So you want to ask yourself, what would I do if I truly remembered the hereafter? What would I do if I truly remember death?

How would I show up differently? What would I release? What would I surrender to? You see, this lens centers the decisions around Allah, not pressure, not people, not ego or perfection. So why take a moment and answer an area in your life where you feel stuck and look at these three lenses? Walk through those questions. Because this is your opportunity to truly do the work and start asking yourself what true success is. This lens allows you to extract, am I living for this world? Am I living for my ego or am I truly seeking the pleasure of Allah? This is what spiritual coaching looks like. It's not fluffy, it's intentional, it's grounded, and it's transformative inside ad-wam. You'll not only learn tools like this, you'll learn when to use them. How to ask them and how to hold space when someone breaks down while answering them. See, we don't just teach coaching to help people feel better. We teach coaching that brings the soul back to Allah with clarity, with compassion, and with his hand. And most importantly, from pressure to actually pull.

Because the way most people are taught to grow is by pushing themselves harder, by pushing through fear, by pushing through burnout, and pushing through the voicing or head that says, I can't. But let me ask you this. What if you weren't meant to push harder? What if you were meant to be pulled consistently back to Allah? You don't need another system that treats your soul like a machine, or a productivity hack, or an algorithm. You're not just a to-do list with legs, you're a soul, and a servant of Allah, and your transformation should reflect that. You need a path that respects your humanity and your soul, that honors all of you, and that sees your hesitation, not his weakness, but as a doorway. A doorway into sincerity, into presence, and did becoming someone who leads their nafs instead of being led by it. And that's what coaching the nafs is about. It's not hype, it's not hustle, and alhamdulillah, in the adlum coaching certification, this is sacred transformation. This is a movement that we are part of, and alhamdulillah are creating. We've had over 800 students globally, and so I invite you to join if anything spoke to you, and this is a topic that you want to dive deeper into, then this is your opportunity, and shall I go check the link.
