About this episode
Nothing kills contentment like comparison. This week, we are studying an interaction between Jesus and Peter found in John 21:20-22. In this story we see Jesus response to the human tendency to compare. Jesus tells Peter, and us today, when we compare ourselves to others, "What is it to you? You follow me!" At first, that can be hard to hear. We must become content with God's will for our life. But, once we stop comparing and become content with simple obedience, the yoke of trying to be like others falls off of us, and we find the rest for our soul that Jesus promised us in Matthew 11:28-30.
