Based on something, I won't tell you right now, but my nephew said something that was pretty embarrassing in front of my sister and her friend the other day. So we're curious. What did your kids say recently that embarrassed you for instance? Brittany sat on Facebook. We were walking through the store and an older gentleman has a prosthetic leg and my kid asked me if they were part robot or part transformer.
And he overheard that. Another one, Lindsay said, my husband taught my daughter to sing, Pope, there it is. She was two and a half. It was potty training. So every time she went to the bathroom and did a number two, she would sing it even in public restaurants and people definitely would laugh. So we want to hear. Tell us the ridiculous thing your kids had recently. Something that embarrassed you. A KDWB. All right, we're curious. What did your kids say recently? Did you guys ever watch the show kids say the darnest things? Sometimes it just happened to be on. Yeah, it was on the channel. Older shows so far, I don't know. Yeah, I'm familiar, but I haven't seen it. Yeah, okay. Well, we are curious. What have your kids said recently? So here are some funny answers. Sometimes me and my friends refer to our kids as crotch goblins. And one day we were meeting my daughter's kindergarten teacher. And she was asking if she had any nicknames and she was like, well, sometimes their mom calls me this and this. But sometimes I heard her and her friends are talking.
They call us crotch goblins and I was like, hmm, that's embarrassing. Oh, no, it's always telling the teacher, man. Oh, I mean, and the reason we bring this up is because my nephew, when I'm to my sister's friend recently and said, you have a fat belly and she, it's like, you know, like she's not super thin. So like, whatever. But it's like kids, she's like, have zero filters. Right. Yeah, I'll just say what I want. Obviously he was immediately yelled at and scolded and gotten to trouble. So here's what other people said they could save. Good morning. This one's really embarrassing. My daughter, she goes around and tells everybody that she knows that she listens to Dave Ryan in the morning show and stand that girl. Embarrassing. I'm serious. She's an influencer. You went out of your way to find KDWB on the iHeart radio app. Hit the red microphone button on the talk back feature and send that in. So I feel like your daughter was influenced by you. Yeah. A genius.
Yeah. Good bit, good bit. Okay, here we go, some more. My daughter had the hardest time with potty training and going number two in the toilet. She finally went number two on the day of one of my really good friends weddings. And when we went to the wedding, she spent the entire day telling every person she talked to that she went poop in the toilet. Nice. Classic. Classic. That was not as bad. It's cute, but it's just like, yeah, this is the place for that though right now. So I want to hear that information. I'd be like, good for you. Oh, yeah. Good for you. Did you use two plots? Yeah. All right, more talk back. Hi, my name is Trista. And when my son Charles was about two or three years old, we were walking through the store and he saw this old lady walk by and he says, geez, mom, that lady is really old. I was so embarrassed, but they got the woman left. Oh, was she old? Was she old though? Was your kid just stayed in the back? But was she old? White dog bags. Hi, KDWB.
So my daughter is 35. This happened back when she was like three or four. We were at JC Penney's at Brookdale. And one of the workers there came over just to say hi and whatever. And my daughter looked at her and said, why did she have a mustache? No. Good times. Hope you all have a great day. Oh, no. Great, but like also you can't control your kids. Triggered. I'm triggered. Here's another dog back. When my son was little, we took him into minards. They would sing the song, save big money at minards. My son at two years old would sing at the top of his lungs, save big money in the nards. It was pretty cute. Aww. Haha. Save big money in the nards. Good. Love that. Now, I like it. Take a recreation. At a co-workers dad's funeral, my daughter told one of my co-workers that I post sexy pictures on Facebook.
And that was very embarrassing. Once again, was your daughter just telling the truth? Yeah. Oh, alright. Can you discipline your kid really? You can tell them, hey, you shouldn't be saying this, but you can't be mad at him. It's like you're only saying what you're seeing. I have some text messages I can read to him. We were walking into Costco and my seven-year-old daughter said very loudly, it better be free sample day or I'll have to speak with a manager. Get to the point, y'all. Yeah, I get it. This one says, my husband taught my kids the Snoop Dogg song with my name that they're saying poop dog. So now every time I see a dog, they're saying poop doggy dog, poop doggy dog. Poop doggy dog. This one says, not super embarrassing, but humbling. My four-year-old asked me, mom, do you have any friends? Wow. Oh, no. This one says, my four-year-old says, move you effing idiots when the light turns green and the car doesn't instantly move. And where did he hear that from? Yeah, where did they hear that from?
We got a couple more talkbacks, too. Yeah, let's hear it. We were talking about something that your kid said recently that was straight up embarrassing or funny. When my daughter started third grade, she told her teacher that my mom cusses a lot. And the teacher was like, well, sometimes parents do that. And she goes, no, I mean like, a lot. That's not your mom. So then the teacher has to have a talk with mom. Right, but then mom goes home and she's mad at you. So she cusses you out some more. It's a couple more talkbacks. My cousin's kid was in a party party with my cousin and said, Mommy, why is your boobie so small and your belly so big? Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Very exposed. And mama is another talkback. I'm making for tape clothes here. That was hard to hear. We got more text messages. We have some more things on Facebook. I wanted to read. Chris has said, at the grocery store, check out line my five-year-old. Very loudly said, mom, what does diarrhea mean? Good question. This is a weird one.
Charlotte said, when acid school, what's your mom's favorite thing to do? My daughter said, she likes to pick scabs. What? So that's embarrassing. So in a glass of wine, like some kids like out their parents for drinking too much wine or something. Yeah. She says she likes to pick scabs. Another guy, Robyn said that her kid was like, mom, look at that butt. Mom, mom, look at that butt. We were shopping at Target. And as you can imagine, I quickly turned our cart fast because, hey, listen, sometimes you got to appreciate a good butt. You got to. Okay? You just can't be mad at the kids for seeing what they see. I never heard of it. You never know what to do with that big fat butt. One other one, this one comes from Melissa on Facebook. It says, my 10-year-old daughter had to write a funny story about family members for conferences. She wrote, my mom had to poop at the store and told us we had to go because she was walking up and down the aisles really fast. conferences are tomorrow. So please pray for me. So good luck.
Melissa posted that yesterday. So good luck. Melissa, that you have to face the consequences of you having to poop really bad at the grocery store. And it happens, okay? Sometimes sometimes it happens. You've got to find the bathroom. You've got to go. You've got to go, baby. All right. Thanks everyone for the submissions on Talk Back Tuesday. This is Julian Edelman from Games with Names. I want to take a second to talk about something that's personal to me. I've had the privilege of working closely with Robert Kraft for a long time. And one thing I've always respected is how seriously he takes up standing up to hate. As a Jewish athlete, my identity is something I am proud of. But I also know what it feels like to be singled out for it. That's why this new commercial for the Blue Square Alliance against hate that aired during the big game really hit home. It's about showing up for someone when they're targeted. Even if you don't have the perfect words. And sometimes standing next to someone is enough. And you can show support by sharing the Blue Square.
