About this episode
What happens when people are given a real opportunity to build a better future?
Frank Corva has spent years trying to understand that question across very different parts of the world.
Before covering Bitcoin adoption for Forbes and serving as Bitcoin Magazine’s first White House correspondent, Frank lived in a barrio in Venezuela, worked in rural Ghana, taught immigrants in New York City, and spent years exploring how people create change in their own lives and communities.
In this episode of Life with Bitcoin, Ivy Lumi and Frank explore what those experiences taught him about human nature - and why Bitcoin ultimately made him more optimistic about what people can build for themselves and each other.
We talk about the people Frank has met across Africa and Latin America who aren't thinking about Bitcoin simply as an investment. They're saving for their children's education, creating new opportunities, strengthening their communities, and trying to give the next generation a better life.
The conversation also gets personal. Frank reflects on his own evolution through Bitcoin - from anger and wanting to accumulate as much as possible, to thinking more deeply about generosity, responsibility, community, and what it means to have enough.
Some of the most powerful Bitcoin stories aren't really about Bitcoin.
They're about what people make possible with it.
