As a fully credentialed teacher in multiple subject areas in two states that has taught thousands of children, and a parent who has raised three children to adulthood, I'm going to jump into the current fray of whether or not we should have drag contests in public schools and especially in elementary schools as young as Pre-K and Kindergarten. America has serious literacy issues even prior to the pandemic, how is diverting time and resources to drag queen contests entertainment going to help improve American education? It's not.
