West Midlands Neighborhoods Get £100M Regeneration Boost

0:00On March 20th, five areas in the West Midlands are set to share 100 million pounds through a new government regeneration program. Brown Hills near Walsall, Chadsmore near Canek, the Waterloo Road area, and Wolverhampton, Handsworth, and Tivideo will each get 2 million pounds a year for the next 10 years. This funding comes from the Pride and Place initiative and builds on hundreds of similar projects already underway. Yesterday, officials added these spots to a list of 40 new neighborhoods nationwide, on top of 244 others that have received. Support before. Local leaders decide how to spend the cash on things like youth centers, park upgrades, and fixing up empty buildings to serve the community. In Chadsmore, MP Josh Newberry called it a huge win for the area, highlighting strong local businesses, family centers, and volunteer groups that make the place special. The ideas there include a new spot for scouts and guides, expanding the family center, and repairing sidewalks on the high street.
