West Midlands Metro: New Service Adjustment & Eastside Extension

0:00On March 12th, West Midlands Metro riders take note of a short-term service adjustment starting Monday, March 16th. Trams leaving Wolverhampton St. George's Station will now end their run at Bull Street. This lets drivers practice the upcoming East Side Extension route through Millennium Point. Passengers can hop off at Bull Street, then catch the next tram at Corporation Street once drivers finish their out-of-service training loop and rejoin the line. The chain supports training for the new East Side Extension, which will boost links to the East Side of Birmingham City Center and Digbeth. It connects directly to the high-speed two curves on Street Station with four fresh stops. Most other services stay on track. Trams from Wolverhampton Station hit all their usual spots and lines from edge-based in village toward Wolverhampton face no disruptions. With drivers getting up to speed, the full extension promises smoother travel options soon, knitting the network tighter for everyone in the region.
