Just curious. Welcome to Just Curious Media. This is Good Thinking, and I'm Jason Connell. So I'm back with another weekly reflection episode. And I really love this a chance to kind of recap the week and then set up what comes next. And we've just concluded six affirmations, positive affirmations about gratitude. And personally, I think gratitude is something that we should recognize each and every day because it's just that powerful. So with that being said, we're going to stick with the theme of gratitude for one more week at least. So I'm now going to share five additional takeaways in which gratitude improves your life. So number one, gratitude brings attention to the present moment. Appreciation for what is here now helps reduce distraction and encourages a deeper sense

of presence. And people are always saying that, hey, be present, be in the now. And I completely agree there are great benefits to being in the present moment. And gratitude has that sort of power and weight behind it. Number two, gratitude softens stress and tension, focusing on what is steady and supportive can create a calming effect during challenging times. Yeah, it takes the edge off. Just being grateful for where you're at doesn't mean you're not going to have challenges to overcome, but it takes some of the pressure off. Maybe it grounds you in a certain way like, I'm so happy where I'm at, I have to deal with this thing, but I'm still grateful for this that and the other. Number three, gratitude builds emotional resilience. Recognizing positives, even in small ways, strengthens the ability to navigate ups and downs.

I love that emotional resilience. I wish I had known that phrase or how to tap into it many years ago, but it's true. Being grateful can strengthen your emotional resilience and recognizing those positives in your life will absolutely help you when life happens. And it's going to happen. So lean in to being grateful and you will get through it much easier than without gratitude. Number four, gratitude encourages a more open perspective. Seeing the good broadens awareness and allows new possibilities to be recognized. And that's well said, an open perspective and broadening one's awareness. Yeah, you don't have the blinders on, take it all in. Let's not get stuck because we all can. We can focus or overly focus on some pitfalls or something that's really bugging you. When the reality is that you love most of what's going on in your life.

So broaden your perspective and we'll also help with potential new possibilities. And number five, gratitude reinforces daily fulfillment. When appreciation becomes a habit, satisfaction grows from everyday life rather than external outcomes. Habit building, habit satisfaction. I love it. And yes, gratitude should be something that we reinforce every single day. So just embrace gratitude. Just do it. Your life will improve tenfold than not including it. Trust me, I try to find some grateful moments each and every day, no matter what I have on my plate. There's always enough time for self. So there you go, much more about gratitude. The upcoming positive affirmations will also be gratitude-based. And of course, they'll start next Monday and go all the way to the following Saturday.

So that's very exciting. And I also want to encourage people to reach out to us. There's a lot of downloads happening, which means that more people are listening to the show. And in all likelihood, have a more positive mindset because of that. But drop us a line. You can support the show absolutely. And I love the people that have done it as they also send us some beautiful notes. But you could just drop us a line as well. I'm happy to read it on the air. And in the meantime, subscribe, rate, review. Keep coming back because you mean so very much to me. And the mission of the show. So thanks so much, and we'll see you next time.
