Sometimes we actually do take a break if you are looking for something to listen to I can recommend a few episodes have done recently which people have really liked we made an episode called the Nazi and the Psychiatrist based on the book of the same name by Jack L. High and that is the basis of the film Neuron bag It was fascinating to talk to Jack and understand a little bit more about what was going on the Nazis psychologically We recorded an episode about Louis Theroux's new documentary regarding the manosphere people really seem to like that I definitely think the manosphere is something people are becoming more aware of and I think that's a good thing Because it's quite a pressing issue for young men and of course young women as well We made an episode with evolutionary psychologists professor late Ashawaf. How can we master our emotions Which was a wonderful episode to record because it really helps one understand there is

1:06sense of function and adaptive utility to our emotions and if we can just understand that We can have such a much better grasp on our emotional lives and last week we released a thinking films episode all about Taxi driver the 1976 classic with film director Tom Schkolnik. I really love talking to Tom I'm getting to do one of these film episodes with a film director really added a new dimension to the discussion Which I really appreciated and I think listeners appreciated as well While we're on the subject Tom is currently making a new film called a life of one's own based on the life of Marion Milner Who is a psycho Alice who conducted some very interesting psychological experiments on herself When she was a young woman in her 20s back in the 1920s Tom is currently editing his film and he's launched a crowdfunding campaign to support this process I'm going to put a link to that in the description and through the crowdfunding campaign can get access to merchandise from the film
