This is Bird Note. It's on air fundraising week, and our goal is to grow our flock of recurring supporters to a thousand people. One of the many interesting things about birds is how they interact with each other. Take Harris's Hawks, for example. Unlike most raptors, they hunt in groups of sometimes four or five, and are more successful at finding a meal because of it. Purple Martins nest in large colonies, leveraging their numbers to warn away and defend against predators. Birds have got it figured out. We are stronger together. We're not asking any one person to donate.
