We Are For Glory & Honour - 5.9.26

He said, Let us make man in our image. He made them in blessed, both my own family and He made them. You see it is the Lord who is looking to become visible and in the visible that He receives all the glory and the honor. Of course this is perfectly displayed in Jesus but throughout all of scripture you can see the working of it in so many phenomenal ways and you can see how God called Abraham and through Abraham how He was able to receive great glory in the earth and then through Isaac and I look at this. I look at this. I do. I look at how God was able to receive glory in the earth to be able to say I am the God of Abraham. I am the God of Isaac. I am

1:06the God of Jacob and when I look at these people's lives, you know, Abraham will give so many examples Isaac to think and I've thought about this. I thought you know Isaac was old and he was blind and Isaac had a real affection because of his love for food, for Ezek. But Rebecca had a real inclination for Jacob and you can see how despite human frailty in Isaac, God was able to bring about his purposes and the reason I bring this up is because when you think we are for glory and honor you think yeah but that I have frailties that are not very glorious and I have

2:06weaknesses and shortcomings and infirmities and infirmities is not limited to sicknesses, infirmities, weakness and shortcomings. You think that if I look at this about Isaac and I thought in you were able to bring glory through Isaac despite of his deformities and you could see how the transformation began to work in Jacob through his 21 years living at Labin's house, his father and lost house and through his relationship with Leah and her sister Rachel and the whole situation that he went through also with his sons and their situation and then with Joseph and what eventually became of it all and I look at all these old these circumstances as you see how when it says we are for glory and for honor how God works is glory and in honor through the circumstances of life which I find inspiring from my own heart to believe yes father. I love this verse in chapter 26 in the classic amplified of Isaiah, started verse 12. 9:26you have done this. I love this thought where you could say, Lord, I was an addict. Lord, I was in bondage to pornography. Lord, I was in drunkard. Lord, I was a reviler and extortionist. Lord, I was an unclean, foul person. Lord, I was a mucker. Lord, that you had made an end to all those oppressing forces. I was tormented. I lived in fear and anxiety, but here I am in your glory. Here I am for your glory and honor. Here I am for your praise. It is you, Lord. It is you who have done it. I tell you, I love these thoughts that I want to share with you today in this devotion because I love to see the Lord glorify. Oh, how the Lord is wanting to be glorified in you and my life. Paul says, I am so thankful to the Lord Jesus for choosing me to become one of

I pray that you will not be ashamed to let other people know that you have been loved when you did not love, that you have been forgiven when you didn't deserve it, that you have been saved when you deserved hell. Oh, friends, none of us can boast in ourselves, but all of us can say to die and be the power and the glory forever never and begin to pray with the apostable from Philippians 1, 1, 20 when he says, my earliest expectation and my greatest desire is that in nothing I will be ashamed of myself, but that Christ will be magnified in my body. Oh, friends, I will encourage you that Philippians 1, 20 begin to believe that the Heavenly Father will be magnified and praised in your body. Look what it says here in closing in 2 Corinthians 4, starting at verse 7.

12:36But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the excellence of the power may be of God and none of ourselves, for we are hard-pressed on every side and yet not crushed, we are perplexed. We don't know what to do, but for nothing despair, we're persecuted, but not forsaken, struck down and yet not destroyed, because we always carry about in this body the dying of the Lord Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 13:42Jesus Christ also raised us up with Jesus and present us with you in his presence for all things are for his sake, so that grace having spread through the many may cause thanksgiving to bound to the glory of God, and we can go on and on and this, but friends we are for glory and on.
