Inner Conflict - 7.9.26

0:00Welcome to Life Devotions and thank you for joining me today. Inner conflict is the tale of this devotion. I do not besides the Lord Jesus however I do know parts of Jesus where his conflict was enormous because of his fear of God and longing to please the Father and taking on our sin nature. We read about this in Hebrews 5 how the conflict fit in him was so enormous that he swept up the blood and he cried out I think it's in John or chapter 8 or somewhere he cries out to chapter 12 and he says I am in such agony I feel death I feel the powers of death and Jesus understood what it meant I have an inner conflict and all of us without us maybe always understanding it have inner conflicts we do and there is a fundamental reason why we do have that and that is

1:03helpful to un-money the waters and get to the real roots of why we have an inner conflict because sometimes you know have an inner conflict because he said he did and they said and she didn't do and he didn't do and and and we have all these conflicts within us and that cost pain and hardships and difficulties and worries and sleepless nights and all these burdens and overwhelm us and cause sometimes even anxiety and stress within our human body that can have its effects on us so an inner conflict is very real but what is the real root cause of every one of our inner conflicts is right here in the book of Romans chapter 7 and it's important that you realize this because if you don't get to the basics then you get lost in all the stresses of life and you don't know anymore why why you are the way you are and why you are stressed and in burdening you can't get to the end

2:05of the reasons and you have to sometimes just stop in life and go Lord heal me and I will be healed save me and I'll be saved as Jeremiah prayed so look here in Romans chapter 7 starting at verse 15 for what I'm doing I do not understand for what I will to do that I do not practice but what I hate that I do if then I do what I will not to do I agree with the law of God that it is good when it says thou shalt not coveting yet I am coveting or I'm jealous and is part of the coveting nature I feel provoked by other people's successes that I have nothing and that's a part of the nature of coveting and he says but now it's no longer I who do it here comes the fundamental reason of all in the conflict but sin that dwells in me

3:10if I know that that in me that is in my flesh nothing good dwells for to will is present with me but how to perform what is good I do not find for the good that I will to do I do not practice but to evil I will not to do that I practice that's where you get statement no no no I didn't mean that I didn't mean that I know what I meant was good but what came out wasn't good and yeah and that is what he's describing and it's important that you learn the real reason why we have this failing part of our nature where we can be sharp in patient on kind cruel even at terribly selfish and blinded to the other person's needs and hurts and pains and hardened to it and and we're unaware what's really the inner conflict within us he says but the good that I will to do

4:18I do not practice but if I will not to do I practice now if I do what I will not to do is no longer I will do it but sin that dwells in me I find then a law that evil is present with me the one who wills to do good for I delight in the law of God according to the inner man but I see another law in my members worrying against the law of my mind and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members oh wretched man that I am who will deliver me from this body of death I thank God for Jesus Christ our Lord so then with the mind and myself serve the law of God but with the flesh the law of sin there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus who do not walk or live according to the flesh nature the sin nature but according to

5:19the spirit for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death the law of Christ life in me now rules over the sin nature in me and sin is no longer able to control me manipulate me twist inwardly with all kinds of feelings and talk why I don't understand why did they say I'm going to take could have owned a man and sin argues and argues against the nature of God that is love that's peace that's joy that's kindness that's goodness that's gentleness that's faithfulness that's trustworthiness and that that inner nature of sin wrestles against it and how can I ever overcome that inner conflict I can't overcome it I try to become I try to be kind I try to be patient I try to not take an account of his suffered throne and then evil done to me

6:24but I just can't end it and I'm not supposed to win what they said what they did and blah blah blah this is why the world is in such a mess box and it all comes from the inner conflicts that we all have five of them too and what appeases the inner conflict is but one thing the law of life in Christ Jesus so what the law of God could not do because of the weakness of our human flesh God did by sending his own son so the law of God can give light inwardly and it does it's phenomenal I read I love the law I delight myself in the law it helps restraints in from imposing me and causing me to do things that I know I can't trade to God's will but it cannot liberate me from that impulse it cannot liberate me it can maybe try to hold the back and restrain it but it can't liberate me

7:24but liberates me from the law of sin and death is the law of life in Christ Jesus and it calms me immensely because it's peace to rule in my heart and joy and goodness I will talk more about this so if I listen if I live according to the flesh then I'm not living according to the Spirit so those verse five of Romans hate those who live according to the flesh set their minds their inclinations motivations on the things of the flesh the those who live according to the Spirit set their minds their inclinations on the Holy Spirit to be kindly minded causes us to be debt to God and suffer the pains of death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace the corner mind is an enmity against God the mind of our flesh nature of our self nature is

8:29opposed to God's nature and it's not subject to his law nor indeed can be important so then those who live in the flesh can please God but you're nothing the flesh no but in the Spirit if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ he's not his but if Christ is in you yes the body is dead because of sin but the Spirit is life because of his righteousness and if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his spirit to dwells in you you'll feel his life flowing through your body therefore brethren we are deaders not to the flesh deliver according to the flesh but if we live according to this flesh we will die but if we live by the Spirit the Spirit will put to death the deeds of the flesh

9:31all come out if we live according to the flesh we will die but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the flesh you will live for as many as our leopard is spirit these are just songs of God So there is conflict in all of us, in inner conflict, and that conflict gets stirred up by things we experience in this world in relationships, in what people say, do, don't say, don't do, all that we go on the stresses of life, the burdens of life, the agitations of life, and it can be small things, it can be very gricious things, but that stirs up that inner conflict. And what can cause us to be more than an overcomeor in this world with all of its pressures is the life of the Son of God in us, is the presence of His Holy Spirit in us. All when the Holy Spirit reigns in your mortal bodies, you will have life and peace.

10:37You say, you see, it says in Galatians 5, 16, but I say, walk, live habitually in the Holy Spirit, responsive to and control them guided by the Spirit, then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh of the human nature without God. For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the Holy Spirit and the desires of the Holy Spirit are opposed to the flesh, Godless human nature. For these are antagonistic to where each other continuously with standing and in conflict with each other so that you are not free, but you are prevented from doing what you desire to do. The Holy Spirit in me arrests my sin nature in me and makes it powerless through Christ's death to rule over me, and that's what it simply means to be crucified for Christ as it

11:40says in place to 20. But I'm dead to self and its own nature. Self is the very reason why the inner conflicts can't be overcome and why the inner conflicts just don't stop and they keep on causing trouble in our relationship and they keep on causing trouble where we make wrong choices or provoked by situations that we act upon then and we can help ourselves and then we can explain yet, but if you understand what they said, what they did and how they suffered that harm and the excuse are weaknesses by accusing and there's just no way out of that except through Jesus Christ on the home. When you allow Jesus Christ to come into your life by His Holy Spirit then His nature that cannot sin begins to rule in you and conquer your own sin nature and bring it into His death.

12:40You see His life passed through death. That's why we are water baptized as Romans 60 Jesus into His death and we rise to moonness of life through His resurrection. We are water baptized into His death and rise to moonness of life through His resurrection life. So the life that you receive from Jesus Christ has the power and it's the only power available to humanity to conquer the nature of sin. There is absolutely no other remedy. You can lock yourself up in a monastery, excuse me, in a monastery and have no TV, have no social media, have nothing and you will suffer with more pains of sin than ever because you have no distractions from it and the sin nature will cause you to feel so ashamed, with a guilty and condemned and no good and powerless and depressed and hopeless and alone

13:45and that's all the nature that was separated from God because of sin. And there is no remedy for that nature except the death of a Lord Jesus Christ who bore its pains of death in His own body and satisfied the law who demanded that death by dying the death unto God. The Spirit by which Jesus died is what not only satisfied the law, that justice was served, but it quieted it appeased the wrath of God against that sin nature. Therefore, anyone is in Christy is no longer in condemnation. Now you are in the acceptance of the beloved according to Ephesians 1, 3, according to the riches of the glory of His grace and you now have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sin and you now can receive peace with God and with self as self no longer

14:52reigns in you but Christ reigns in you and Christ empowers you to completely surrender self and wear the inner conflicts come to rest. The inner conflicts come to rest you see. When we are guided by the Holy Spirit, then we realize that the law of God is not against us but for us. Now the doings and the nature of our flesh nature are clear. They are immorality, impurity, indecency, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, what is sorcery? sorcery is communicating with the activity of the demonic realm through whatever kind of symbolism and whatever kind of activities of manner of drinking, eating or movies or

15:52entertainment or sexual practices or imaginations that are where the demonic realm is active and that's sorcery. We need not have anything to do with it. We need not touch it. So he says the activity or the nature of the sin nature in the flesh is idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger, ill temper, selfishness, divisions, dissensions, party spirit, factions, sex with peculiar opinions and heresies, envy, drunkenness, corousing and the like. And I warned you beforehand about this that just as I previously had said that those who do such thing cannot enjoy the powers of the kingdom of God within them. But when the Holy Spirit comes into your life and you begin to yield to the Holy Spirit

16:57controlling your life, then he works within you the presence of God. So my goodness, his love, his joy, his gladness, his peace, his patience, even temper, not moody, complaining, contenders, forbearance, ability to be gracious with other people's weaknesses. Yes, kindness, goodness, benevolence, I love that word. Faithfulness, gentleness, meekness, which is humility, self-control, self-restraint, self-control, where you're not just go by what your eyes see, you're not just allow yourself to be affected by anything that tempts you to look at me, watch this movie, watch this show, when you could feel the Holy Spirit and you go, the fire's his corrupt you inwardly, don't know

18:02it, don't watch it, set no wickedness before your eyes, do not laugh worthlessness, do not see falsehoods, some for it, some hundred and nineteen for thirty seven, oh I've prayed those Psalms. And you see that when we live in the Holy Spirit and begin to experience this indwelling life through the fruit that it bears in our nature, then we realize that there is no law in the Bible that's against us, no the opposite, we delight ourselves in the law and it speaks to us and it makes us so happy and so wonderful, he who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, no stains in the way of sinners, no sits in the seat of the school for but delights himself in the law and meditates therein day and night he shall be like a tree planted by the waters of life and he shall bear its fruit in its season and its fruit shall not fail and its leaves shall not weather and whatever he does has a favor

19:04of God under the blessing of God that someone verse one two and three you begin it just delight yourself in the law and the Spirit of life in Christ is in you. Oh hallelujah listen out those who belong to Jesus Christ have crucified the flesh that God is human nature with its passion appetites and desires and if we live by the Holy Spirit then let us also walk by the Spirit and if the Holy Spirit and if by the Holy Spirit we have our life in God so let's go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled by His loving the Holy Spirit. The conflict within you and me has only one place of refuge and that's Jesus Christ and I have mercy upon me my loving Savior and so afflicted in my heart and so afflicted in my soul. I feel darkness trying to separate me from you. I feel

20:08all Lord I shouldn't have said that I shouldn't have responded or the way I said that wasn't right and the Lord and what I looked at all Lord cleans me, cleans me you said that I can draw near with the true heart having my heart sprinkled from an evil conscious and my body washed with the pure water of Father that's Hebrews 10.22 all Fathered Hebrews 10 verse 14 through the one second price of Himself He forever completely cleanses and perfects those whom He has concentrated and made Holy Father I thank you for cleansing me, for cleansing my heart with the blood of Jesus and filling my whole body with your Holy Spirit Lord I thank you and you begin to pray like this and the powers of the Lord Jesus Christ begin to manifest in you through the Holy Spirit and take away all that stress and all that conflict and all that shame and all that guilt and you begin to live in this place where you say oh bless and assurance Jesus is mine. Oh what a fortest of his heavenly glory divine, a man of his salvation, I've been purchased by God
