Watson or Sanders: Browns' QB Race Heats Up

0:00On April 29th, the Cleveland Browns are deep into their quarterback competition this off-season, pitting veteran D'Shan Watson against Young Gunn, Shader, Sanders, heading into the new season. Inside a report, say, Watson pulled ahead after last week's minicamp, giving him the inside track to snag the starting spot. Newhead coach Todd Monkin plans to name his guy by the end of minicamp, sometime between June 9th and 11th. Watson set out much of the past couple years with injuries, while Sanders went three and four to finish last season in a room that also had Joe Flacco and Dylan Gabriel. His edge comes from years of mastering new systems, plus this offense shares concepts from his Houston days that he's picking up fast. We'll keep watching to see who lines up under center first for the Browns.
