Is it because they knew something that you didn't? The world is watching this landmark trial going on this weekend. Here's what the evidence is showing, what meta-allegedly knew, but hid from us. 13% of kids get sexually solicited on Instagram every single week. 27% of teenage girls experience harmful social comparison within just seven days of using Instagram. And there were over four million children under the age of 12 using the platform. But what's even worse, meta-ran its own tests on hiding how many likes children's posts get. The results, they found hiding likes actually reduced negative social comparison
and harm to teenage girls. So they started to hide the likes in the counts, right? Wrong. They killed that feature because removing it would drop ad revenue by 1%. They killed the safety feature because removing it would drop ad revenue by 1%. Many say this is big tobacco 2.0. Why? They have the studies, the bodies, the emails seem to prove they knew.
