Warriors Without Porzingis, Lakers Game Looms

The Golden State Warriors head into their home game against the Los Angeles Lakers tonight without center, Kristop's Porzingis. The 7 foot 2 big man is sitting out his fourth game in a row due to illness. Porzingis has appeared in just one contest since his mid-season trade from the Atlanta Hawks. In February 19th, he came off the bench for 17 minutes against the Boston Celtics, scoring 12 points with solid shooting and a couple of three pointers. Warriors coach Steve Kerr gave a quick update before the matchup. He confirmed Porzingis remains sidelined by a medical matter and isn't ready to return just yet. Porzingis took part in practice on Friday, which sparked some optimism for tonight, but he'll get another shot on Monday when the Warriors host the Los Angeles Clippers at home. Fans are eager to see more from the newcomer as the Warriors manage these early injury hurdles without him.
